Seeing a lot of art self hate lately, stop it! Ppl tend to forget how unnatural it is to be exposed to literally all the artists in the world all the time. You may not be The Best, but if you get anything at all out of creating, not just $$ or fame but like... personal enjoyment? Please don't stop.

OKAY date (for now) has been decided on for it, October 12! I'll set up my Ko-Fi for it today and then make a graphic for here by Monday ^^

If I go through with this it'll likely be smth last-minute (on a weekday next week) since the GFM looks like it's almost at its goal, fingers crossed though bc aaaagh I really want to help!!! Also @ that anon who gave $3K to them..... I am respectfully looking 🥹

My paycheck was eaten into from being sick so I'm not in a position to pay directly rn, but if this is still up by the end of October I'm floating the idea of possibly doing an art drive to help Keep Furry Weird. I'll think of a good streaming date in the meantime and update y'all later!

Pippi's birthday is today! Decided to do a sticker instead of a doodle this year, then sent some copies over to my Ko-Fi subs + friends 🎉🐶✨️ #furryart #flannyart

—Yes, I am aware TN is under a heat dome that's closer to Nashville rn, but considering how the con I used to go there would also be near 90°F temps I lowkey feel like this is still fair-ish :') (it would happen around Labor Day weekend for reference)

Why I moved from the South to the Midwest: Exhibit A 🥲

Saint Paul's weather forecast for the next 9 days. There's a few days of rain mixed in but the highs are within the 60's for the most part (15–20°C). Lows are between 46–58°F (7–14°C).

Same forecast for Memphis, where I used to live. Today it will be 99°F alone (37°C) and each day after that is between the 80's and 90's (29–36°C). Even the *lows* are hotter than most of my high temps now.

FM was really fun last week! I made a ton of new friends and got to public suit in the cold for the first time in years. Work allowing, I'll absolutely be back next year :3 📸: @leofox.bsky.social #FursuitFriday #FM2026

Don't worry, FM was still great and I'm glad I went (saw a ton of online friends!) but hearing that happen not even 2 feet away from me was Definitely A Choice. I feel bad blocking my former mutual due to association but tbh. If you date someone who acts like that it says a loooot about you too 🥲

This didn't happen @ anyone following me now but just so my stance is on the record, If you make ableist comments at me and/or fatphobic comments about my partner, within earshot of me at a con? That is an immediate block + commission blacklist. No negotiations. (🧵)

Anthrocon really humbled me regarding going from PnM 28 to 29 (averaging 55-75k on <40s.....when normally I'd be between 93-97) so seeing me bounce back so fast is super encouraging. And a few locals are starting to remember me too (including arcade staff), which is cool!!

It acts more like a diary than social media since I can't see who reacted, and tbh I like this WAY better

Flan 🐇 @flanderpelt.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Oh and because I just noticed in the original screenshot, MNPOC Pride is not a "grassroots" organization; or at least not anymore. They might have been when they started around 2000 but present-day their funding nearly rivals TCP's... the money to get a human artist was absolutely there.

000

Flan 🐇 @flanderpelt.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

PLENTY of non-AI pride events that cater to us BIPOC folks in the twin cities exist out there (and they happen all year), if you're able to please use your time/dollars to support those grassroots groups instead of a wannabe-megacorp like this one! 🫡

Flan 🐇 @flanderpelt.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

I also will likely start wearing N95/KN95s to cons with more than 10K people on average, since two years ago I had strep *AND* COVID after coming home from Pittsburgh. Your immune system wanes with age as is, and I think my over-25 butt is nearing that threshold 😅
