OH YEAH I finished Townfall yesterday. That is like the best story trapped behind one of the worst games I've played. A lot of the puzzles were neat, though a lot of them were "here's an answer sheet now input it" which is really bizzarre for a "puzzle"

Maybe more of a personal callout, but like I look up EVERYTHING about a game and obsess over it in my free time. It does usually turn the game into a job, but I do take some enjoyment from that. But I haven't just sat down and played a random game in a LOOONG time.

Might get to play some more Orbitals today :o I felt pretty happy just playing a video game to play a video game. I am kinda realizing that you don't need to know everything a game has to hold, but the temptation to look up everything is just right there x.x

I always struggled to know where I was on the map because the city was pretty similar in each location, but THIS..? This is over the top and kind of crazy to see, very very happy to see this, and I'm baffled how much soul is in each area 💕

Yea I have a few gripes like enemies being able to animation cancel their grabs, the aggro range being absurdly large, and that I would rather just die to the enemies than walk 5 minutes to the nearest open door. Like??? Stealth games aren't inherently boring, but they're so easy to get wrong too

But the unfortunate conundrum always hit me when the game gave me control, because then I realized. I have to play the game. And it's like, kinda boring. But holy sh*t everything else around the game is amazing.

I was just yapping with a friend of mine last night about this game and I cannot believe everywhere you look is basically a desktop wallpaper. The audio engineer definitely did not get paid enough because that guy cooked so hard with the amount croaking and ambient noise you can hear EVERYWHERE

Was blazing through Monster Hunter Frontier and suddenly.. HR5. Boy I am getting absolutely DESTROYED by these two dogs I haven't been challenged this much in a while it feels like. But I guess it's nice to be humbled every now and then.
