Noticing that a lot of new parents are absolutely miserable, hearing a lot of "This actually sucks" around the shop. I was told constantly as a kid that having kids is one of the biggest joys in life, but I don't see it. My dog brings me joy, I can only see downsides in being a parent.

I can tell where the ST tax zones begin in King County, the number of homes for sale skyrockets. Big and small, nice or not. People are leaving. Objectively, WA has been struggling since 2008. Some areas never came back, despite what you were told.
