1/4 Two releases came out today. The “White Paper” gives an updated glimpse of the fiscal situation before next Tuesday’s Budget package, but is thin on spending detail. We also have updated tax and spending numbers to September.

1/15 This “Flash Release” gives the Council’s first read of the revised Medium-Term Plan, published by the Government earlier today. The Council has consistently stressed the importance of multi-annual budgeting. A plan such as this can help Ireland move in that direction.

1/11 The Government released its Summer Economic Statement yesterday, outlining its plans for Budget 2026. Budget 2025 had planned a €3bn increase in spending. Yesterday, this was revised up by €3.3bn, meaning the actual 2025 increase will be more than double the original plan.
