Justice isn’t only won in courtrooms or marches—it’s built through everyday acts of care. In “Resistance Through Assistance," Zeb Green calls us to put love at the center of resistance. 📖 Read more: www.uua.org/braverwiser/... #FaithInAction #UU #MutualAid #UnitarianUniversalist
A social media graphic titled Resistance Through Assistance features a quote in black typewriter-style font on a light beige background. The title is written in red cursive with a yellow highlight. The quote reads:
“Offering compassion and concrete help in response to fear and disruptive power... is something that many of us can do. It is a profoundly simple thing to put love at the center. If resistance to injustice takes the form of offering assistance to those most in need, almost all of us can help our neighbors.”
– Zeb Green

In the bottom left corner is a red heart made of two overlapping line-drawn hearts. In the bottom right corner is the red and orange Unitarian Universalist Association chalice symbol. The URL "UUA.ORG " is centered at the bottom of the graphic.A prayer is written in black typewriter-style font on a light beige background. The red and orange Unitarian Universalist chalice symbol appears in the top right corner. The prayer reads:

Beloved Spirit,
May we remember our shared humanity to all people.
In remembrance, may our hearts be kindled to a deep love.
May this love inspire us to reach beyond walls and barriers to provide care, and to shield all our neighbors from hate and oppression.
– Zeb Green

At the bottom of the graphic is a red continuous-line illustration of a heart being formed between two open hands, one reaching from the left and the other from the right. The URL "UUA.ORG " appears in black text centered at the bottom.

Grateful for UUs and UUA President Rev. Dr. Sofía Betancourt, who joined national faith leaders in D.C. today to urge Congress to act for the common good. In heartbreaking times, we draw strength from shared values and moral courage.
A group of people with The Rev. Dr. Sofia Betancourt in the center pose together outdoors with on a grassy area with trees and a bright blue sky in the background. Several individuals wear bright yellow stoles that say “SIDE WITH LOVE,” indicating affiliation with the Unitarian Universalist faith. Many are also dressed warmly in coats and hats. Some people hold signs with messages such as “King Trump must Abdicate,” “Trans lives are sacred,” “RESTORE AMERICA’S SOUL,” and “IT’S TIME FOR MORAL COURAGE.” The Rev. Dr. Sofía Betancourt stands at a microphone, speaking during an outdoor rally. She wears dark glasses, a clerical collar, a gold stole that reads “SIDE WITH LOVE,” and a purple coat. In front of her is a colorful textile with bright stripes draped over a table or podium holding papers. Behind her stand several people holding signs. One sign directly to her left reads “LOVE GOD, LOVE PEOPLE” with rainbow arches above and below the text. Two other signs, one to the right of the speaker and one to the left of the speaker, both read “IT’S TIME FOR MORAL COURAGE” with “SOJOURNERS” written beneath. The background features large trees, green grass, and a park-like setting. The focus is on the speaker, with blurred heads and shoulders of attendees visible in the foreground.

Sierra Club and Climate Energy Project will have a working group on 2 large gas plants that Evergy has proposed. This will cost $1 billion a piece and make everybody's utility bill go up by around 10% and take five years to build. This will not get us to our environmental goals.

Rituals ground us and create meaning. From chalice lightings to water communion, UU traditions evolve with us. What new ritual does our faith need? A ritual of care? A ceremony for grief? A covenant renewal gathering? Share your ideas! 💬✨ #UnitarianUniversalism #UU #faith
