My DNA says majority Welsh and NW English, French, two kinds of Irish, Danish, oddments of other English regions and a fragment of North African which is probably Algerian as I have a French grandmother. Do I get repatriated to Welshpool or may I choose?

Anyway, here's the view from our bedroom window in our lovely lakeside hotel - they asked us to park one of each model on the grass. We couldn't get the De Tomaso Deauville that was parked closer in shot.

That aside, we visited the fascinating Gallery Aaldering in Brummen - great apple cake - and Metropole Classic Cars in Druten, where with apologies to Porsche people, my highlight was meeting the original Herbie and seeing how he was controlled invisibly from the back.

Ha. Our late Mochi spent many hours sitting on a post watching the Guernsey herd next door, and we saw him get licked right off his perch by one of them. His expression as he cleaned his face was similar.

Cats Protection uses top-opening carriers, which don't really lend themselves to that method, though it sounds an excellent idea. Her hiding place is also a standard CP item, a 'Hide and Sleep' fort like this.

We're at the same stage with our feral mama - now her 7 kittens have been adopted, she still hisses as a matter of form but will eat within arm's length. She's probably found a home as a stable cat, though we still have to get her to the vet for neutering and vaccination with our skins intact.
