I started this ref of (Lalafell) Rivi for Artfight before deciding not to participate this year, but decided to finish it anyway and expand it into an Encyclopedia Eorzea style profile spread. Hopefully a good primer to new followers on this account! #riviart

A series of illustrations of Rivière Renais - a full-body one of them wielding their brush and palette and looking anxiously determined, and three busts: making a warm, bashful smile, comically startled by something offscreen, and looking cold and haunted while covered in blood.

Also featured is their nutkin, Pompon, and a set of three chibi heads of them and their partners, Krile Baldesion and Mamashi Mashi (a cheeky-looking Lalafell with pink-and-cream twintails).

It's my birthday month and I'm 16 viewers away from the funny weed number. Iunno what I'll do celebrate, but I'm so hype to reach one of my goals, especially since my channel feels alive again after so long in purgatory.

Last #pathfinder session the party rescued my character from being corrupted by darkness and turning into a big spooky mutated monster. Now they're planning their next steps and watching over her while they wait for her to wake up ❤️

Digital drawing. In the foreground, a pale, sick looking elven woman with purple and black hair lies unconscious on a couch covered in a blanket. A small, fox like creature sleeps on top of her. A larger, pale elven woman with orange hair leans against the couch armrest and sleeps beside her with one hand on her protectively. Someone has draped a blanket over her. Behind them a red-haired girl in a maid outfit looks down at them while carrying a tray with two hot drinks to two characters talking animatedly in the background. A pale girl with red hair, cat ears, freckles and a mechanical arm, and another pale woman with short white hair, glasses and also a mechanical arm. A lamp nearby lights the two while the foreground is shadowed on the sleeping characters.

Oh it's #PortfolioDay! Hello! it's once again time for pictures of the bird

digital drawing. an waist-up shot of an armored angel looking at the camera while she rests her sword across the back of her shoulders. she is covered in shatters of blood and her wings are spread. the angel is pale, with long, black hair, glowing golden eyes, a halo behind her head and small white wings on the sides of her head in addition to her larger ones. her armor is black and she wears a feathered mantle on her shoulders.

Digital drawing. An angel and an elven woman holding each other while they sleep in bed. The elf is lying on top of the angel and is wrapped around her while the angel hugs her close and envelops her in her wings. The elf is pale with short black hair and freckles, while the angel is pale with long black hair, small white wings on the sides of her head in addition tomher larger ones, a halo, patches of feathers on her body and blue hands and forearms.

digital drawing. an aasimar woman lies dead in a black void while a child in a Raven Queen style mask kneels beside her. the aasimar is pale with sky blue hair and wings on the sides of her head. the child is also pale with short grey hair and elven ears. between the child's hands hovers a glowing mote, implied to be the aasimar's soul. a ghostly, sketchy visage of her hovers next to the child, whispering in their ear. behind the child is an outstretched, red hand motioning to grab them. in the foreground if the image another woman lies dead facing away from the camera and towards the aasimar.

digital drawing. an angel being pulled out of the ground by an elven woman. her eyes are glowing blue and she has a blue staticky halo adorned with 7 stars. dirt is falling off of her as she was just buried for a ritual. the elven woman is looking down at her with a loving expression. behind the angel hovers a dark, but benevolent figure without much detail, hovering their hands behind her head.

So I don't know what subscribestar is but I'm just going to point out the pattern again. A new service opens. In it's fledgling days, it is only profitable and popular because queer people can use it for niche porn. They get big. They want visa/mastercard acceptance. They drop the porn.

I think a lot about this bit by Kazuya Niinou about how an RPG can be one thing on your screen and another thing in your brain

How to use your imagination

When your party stays at the Inn overnight, what do they eat?

If you ever catch yourself wondering that, then you know you've formed an attachment to your characters.

With Etrian Odyssey's characters, you only give them a name and a portrait, so no matter how you think of the character, it's technically just your imagination. But even in that case, without your imagination, the character is nothing.

For example, a landsknecht who uses an axe might eat his meat with his bare hands and no utensils, but one who wields a sword might prefer a knife and fork at dinner. You might think differently, but... If you can imagine small details like that, you might find that you enjoy this kind of RPG even more.

The essence is an RPG is using numbers to make calculated decisions, but if you invest those "numbers" with your own feelings, you can spice up the game a little. Think about this:

In your party of five, three characters are dead. Two of them are alive, but they only have a couple of HP left, and no TP. They're certain to die in their next turn, giving you a game over. Number-wise, those characters are useless, but how do you imagine they feel about that? What kind of people are those 2 characters who are about to die? Try to imagine things like that in the brief time before your game ends.

Are they a landsknecht and a ronin, who'll die facing the enemy and laughing? Is it a protector, ordering the weak medic to run with his last breath?

The game over screen looks the same every time, but in your imagination, it could play out very differently.

The game itself isn't that big of a thing; what you imagine for yourself is much more fun. We hope that the player uses this game as a tool, to create dramatic and fun situations in your own minds.
