Hmmm... going for deeper cuts as I know you have seen most of the standards! Possibly Blood Diner (1987), Death Spa (1988), The Brain (1988) - though you might have seen that, OR go with Jon Mikl Thor's Rock N Roll Nightmare or Zombie Nightmare - or on that note - Hard Rock Zombies is good too!

Nathan Baesel is absurdly good in this - I don't know his story, but he seemingly spent more time as an editor on Deadliest Catch than an actor and that's great if that's what he wanted to do - but he did an excellent job selling charismatic horror dork / actual monster in this movie...

I totally forgot that was one of his! Yes! it was an incredible movie and sort of a cool departure from like Totally Fucked Up / Nowhere / Doom Generation (not that I dislike Doom Generation, but MS wasn't made of characters who often feel like they're living after irony has replaced oxygen)

I Want Your Sex was surprisingly delightful. What I’ve always appreciated about Araki, even when I actively dislike the movie in front of me, is that there is never any doubt whatsoever that a Gregg Araki film has occurred. His films don't happen while attempting something sensible.

Net.goth in the '90s? you knew Razor Blade Smile. Talked about on alt.gothic like it was a transmission from our own little republic. It wasn't good. Neither were half the Gregg Araki films we adored. That's never really been the point. Some movies aren't classics. They're fossils of a subculture.

They range from "pretty bad" to nearly unwatchable, which somehow makes them more fascinating than competent movies. It's like watching a cinematic ecosystem evolve in real time. There are three Popeye horror movies. We crossed a line somewhere and just kept walking.

Cold Hell (Die Hölle) (2017) tense, high octane, Austrian - Comes to mind. But if you were looking for more Korean revenge films like I saw the devil, I could give you a list of about 10 amazing ones minus the old boy lady vengeance stuff that everybody’s gonna tell you to watch.
