Another classic, not sure if I've already posted this one here.

The image is a six panel black and white comic.

Panel 1 - a girl sits at her desk in front of a computer, looking disheartened. She says, "I dont know if I should post this art, who would even want to see it?"

Panel 2- A new person bursts through the door in the background with a loud BAM

Panel 3- The new person pushes the girl out of the way, smushing her face in the process, while slamming their fist down on the keyboard.

Panel 4- The computer shows that the art has been posted

Panel 5- The person makes direct eye contact with the girl while pushing their finger against their own phone screen

Panel 6- A motion blur is added to the last panel, enhancing the impact of the new notifications on the new post. It reads, "(Friend) Liked Post just now" Followed by "(Friend) commented 'I FUCKING LOVE THIS AND I LOVE U'"

Underneath the last panel is a watermark that reads, Shubbabang

I feel like for a couple of magical horse boys this idea might have some legs. Squirreling this away in the to do list. I have been meaning to make some more short comics.

I think this is a good time to say that over the years I've done a lot of work with and for folks in the furry community. They, as a group, have been supportive and pay on time. Nothing unusual to report. Censorship sucks. Full stop. I don't identify as a furry but I'm with them. #furry #furryart

I think the line never really existed. Art is art but I understand why categories are helpful so folks can find what they are looking for (at least I try to give grace that is why we are categorizing things). I certainly felt a way about some fluffy folk before I knew what furry was.~

P.s. I do realize my mascot is a catgirl and some furry folk claim kemonomimi as being a part of the furry community. Sure, I don't make the rules. I don't know the rules (most of the time). That is for people in the community to decide. I'm just living and working over here in animal-ear-land. ✌️

Yeah! A lot of what I create either with prose or visual arts are things I would go looking for myself. Making for me and hoping other people find it. =3

Yeah it's the darkness around being a creative under capitalism right? I think projects that make you happy are critical to keep everything going. Gotta feed all the parts. I also hold onto the idea that the things that will make me happy will bring other people joy. 💕

120

FireCatRich - Made some comics, wrote some books🐉 @firecatrich.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Yeah, I find it especially hard since some projects represent income now where other projects are presently just income down the road. Both need to happen to try to find some sort of steady plan through capitalist hellscape and not burn out.

Like #HeatAndHighwater, I'll be keeping with the fantasy romance with a focus on the main group's ploy mlm dynamic. I think there is a very different approach to tackle since the first book was the group getting together. #WeeknightWriters

How it started | How it's going I did not draw these two as a matched set, but I noticed them sitting together in the folder of H&H stuff. I think it pretty well captures this Rynn's experience. Poor thing. 🎣 #art #HeatAndHighwater #lgbtq #fantasy

Rynn is a cheeky kelpie posing and giving his best smile. He is very happy to see you but beware the sharp teeth and claws.

Rynn in the yoga meme pose. Someone has wrecked his kelpie completely and his brain is trying to catch up to what happened.
