I think it's absolutely mad that today there's a *national news story* about 400 oil platform workers losing their jobs, and the government being blamed. 25% of the UK TV industry lost their jobs in the last 4 years and we never hear a peep about it! Some jobs are 'real jobs' I guess.

Begs the question why even pay for the higher tiers, but I do think this is probably a bad move when anecdotally (although I keep seeing this sentiment further afield) more and more people are turning back to their physical collection.

I think my problem with the screaming about AI being "the future, deal with it", is that I remember when HD-DVDs were the future, 3D TVs were the future, Blackberries were the future, and more recently so was the Metaverse.

I wonder if I can read all of China Miéville's Bas-Lag books, his novel with Keanu Reeves, read all of Gormenghast, re-read 'La Belle Sauvage' and 'The Secret Commonwealth' before reading 'The Rose Field', and read Alan Moore's 'The Great When' and 'I Hear A New World' before the end of the year.
