idk how to do all the glittery shit Good night.

Tried several different brushes, but I end up going back to Old Reliable (Froggy Pencils on CSP Assets) because it's the only one I've liked, next to two others I no longer have access to.

Fievel Goes West is one of my favorite movies, Rattrap is my favorite Transformer, I had a mouse 'sona for a while there, ChuChu Rocket is one of my guilty pleasure favorite games, of COURSE I'm gonna turn head to the Rat King in Deadlock.

Fin @finlaena.ink · 12h

I don't go there but I would for the Rat King, honestly. Y'all aren't ready to learn about my ugly 2012-2013 era obsession with the 2012 TMNT Splinter or my affinity for rodent characters in general bahahaha.

For the record, this is what she looked like before. I tried washing all the glue/product out and I could never restyle the hair to look right, so took the shears to it and now she's where she's at. :V

Jaeme is almost done. Took me a good chunk of the year (Integrity heads are awful to work with due to having to heat them up and you only have :30-45 to get 4-5 plugs in at a time) but the end is in sight. That said, I hate doing part lines… =~= #dollsky

I don't know when I became so obsessed with metrics, engagement, etc. but if I really think about it, it stems from having posted art online for 25+ years and having zero to show for it by being under the radar or stuck on the fringes as I'm fast approaching the big 4-0 next month.

rn I’m also working on a… thing… that I can’t share on main so LP will probably be a bit slow this month. Still, close to 20 pages in 5 months that’s not terrible. Still hoping it never breaks containment. The moment it does, I’m yanking the whole thing off the internet.

It will never not piss me off that Geoff Johns (and whoever was writing GLCorps at the time, too) completely ignored Salaak and Ch'p's friendship when it came to Blackest Night: Black Lantern Ch'p should've had a brief moment with his old friend. :/

Continuing on with little doodle sheets of my Fan Lanterns, here's Sister Taario, a slyggian Blue Lantern. I thought it'd be hilarious if an alien discovered a ridiculous video and thinks it's the pinnacle of human ingenuity and laughs every single time they see it. #greenlanternfanart #fanlantern

The idea of the Courtiers feeling things outside of Joy/Envy/Anger/Fear/Sorrow is definitely a high-concept idea. Like, you could make it some kind of meta-y commentary on the nature of fan fiction and how people take established characters and change/mold them into a derivative story or something.

110

Fin @finlaena.ink · 27/09/2026

I have been... thinking... about maybe telling Tobias and Lodun's story a whole lot lately but I'm hesitant b/c I want to a) do the concept justice and b) I don't think it'll be worth investing time/effort into because people dgaf about Duviri anymore.

130

Fin @finlaena.ink · 27/09/2026

Do you think the Duviri Courtiers can feel other emotions besides their primary ones? Because I was wondering if one of them feeling something other than their primary would be like Amalthea at the end of Last Unicorn having experienced mortality or like Pleasantville in general?

This one was surprisingly easy tbh. Everyone guide I read was like "Inaros (Prime) + Sampotes/Glaive/Xoris" but...

Put these two in a blender and that's basically how I draw Salaak. He's never consistent-looking in the comics, like, ever, but the one on the right I like. :V And the movie version (right) imprinted on me when I first got into GL lmao. Comics, amirite?

Took a few D-List Lanterns and decided to interpret them how I see/headcanon them. It's a special interest of mine to redesign lesser-known, not oft used characters in capeshit lmao. From L to R: Kreaven (Indigo Tribe), Graf Toren (Green Lantern), Sister Sercy (Blue Lantern) #GreenLantern #fanart

Found my old SWTOR art and as much as I'd love to revisit these characters (aside from not being able to access my acct...), I can't really do that b/c Disneyshit had similar ideas to what I had back in the day: Force bond (Liem and Rai) and Light/Dark Twin (Brynn and Herrin). :/ (All from 2014)
