I would say two pedestrian bridges over Monikonpuro in Espoo. They provide focal point in the area and are something architecture in Espoo is usually not, human scale and not built private cars on mind. puuinfo.fi/arkkitehtuur...

That is acually an intresting idea! I take bus to trailheads further away, but service is getting worse and worse due cuts. Maybe e bike would work. 🤔 How far are trailheads you ride to?

It is nice what good base level fitness enables, not just in movement in the nature. I lost mine for some time and I am now building it back. You are right, I should look into some gym-like exercises. For lack of better word, I have always found those discusting. Just need to find right one for me.

Impressive! I used to get 71 minutes on 6k, 20kg ruck. I just changed to a newer Forerunner with rucking profile and 5th gen heart rate sensor and got 10 more minutes on same route.

There is a good report of fire in a Finnish discount store that was packed full off stuff, some of it highly flammable. The fire may have started from batteries, store collapsed due the fire, and it was not put out untill airport rescue hepled with foam. www.turvallisuustutkinta.fi/turvallisuus...

It seems VR has changed their Haaparanta connection. Now change is at Kemi station at 22:20 to P274. And I did not remember that if you miss connection (can be to busses, trains etc.) due VR, they will reimburse tickets to the new connection. www.vr.fi/en/compensat...

Just checked with VR, as I have been treaming of a Tour of Bothnia. They are of option that 17min is sufficient, but I wouldn’t risk it. The ticket system offers fastest connection and thus change in Tornio is not offered.

Understantable. However, if Haparanda to Tornio and the night train are on same tickect, VR will quarantee the connection. If night train can not wait (wich would be odd as they are flexible timed) Vr will get you onwards somehow. Have personal experiense on this. www.vr.fi/en/on-track/...

One of my favorite quirks is how Österbotten / Pohjanmaa / Western bottom has lost its direction relative to Bay of Bothnia in Finnish, but Västerbotten/Länsipohja/Western bottom and Överbotten /Peräpohjola / Northern bottom did not.

I would say I was at that level at Finnish Matriculation Examination, so it would be ten years of school from year 3. However, that skill has not really been used since, so it is mostly gone.
