Finished the cover to the SIXTH novel in the Havenwolf Chronicles: Children of the Silver Circle. This might be my new favorite of the covers I've painted for this series. Hope you all like it. 🧡🐺 (Also, BOB ROSS TREES FTW!)

Let me preface this by saying that a LOT of running stories in comics are built up on a small handful of repeating core ideas. THIS comic is no different. "Dee has creative block.", "Dee is anxious about using public restrooms.", "Look, it's something about boobs.", etc.

As with ALL of the covers I've painted for my novel series, the Havenwolf Chronicles, this will undoubtedly get some digital tweaking once I scan it in. But for now, here's the cover for the next book in Claire's story: The KEEPERS of the BLOOD! (Coming in 2027)

Wow! 76 years ago, Charles M. Schulz's PEANUTS premiered in newspapers and changed the game in so many ways! It was, and remains, one of my own primary influences and guiding stars, and I love it more every year!

How I feel on the day before October...

HA!!! Soooo, you are ALSO not wrong. Because Leonard always wears a green jacket over his hoodie, and Sheldon often wears a FLASH t-shirt, I used those for them, but DID use Trek colors for Howard and Raj on purpose to go with Sheldon's red. lol

It’s RARE that I alter the template, but I REALLY wanted to do these tall panels to showcase the idea of Dandy falling, and I’m pretty happy with how it came out. I mean, DANDY isn’t all that happy, but I can’t really blame him. After all, this ISN'T his first portal fall. To be continued…

Change is constant for Claire Gribbald. She's a werewolf, a friend, and a survivor. Now, as a member of the Eyes of Luna, she's a protector. Will she be strong enough to save a young, newly made wolf accused of murder? #shamlessselfpromo #werewolf havenwolfchronicles.com

Yeah, I seriously have ZERO balance and should never try doing ANYTHING that requires manual dexterity, balance, or delicacy. I truly am a danger to all around me. I can stumble standing still.

While pondering a program to watch, I suggested Trek and Heidi recommended we restart Next Gen, so we are starting from the beginning. Halfway through the episode, I look at Facebook at random and I see that TODAY is the 39th anniversary its premier! That is SUCH a weird coincidence!

I suppose that for folks who hoped I'd be bringing the ENTIRE old comic strip back, this might be as disappointing as it is for Dandy here. But I REALLY hope you enjoy the madness Sabrina and I have been cooking up when ADVENTURES IN DUNGEONEERING premieres this October. :)

Thanks so much! It will be launching proper, and full color, in October. (The black and white of the first 30ish strips was printed for back in August at the Reubens)

So, SO many times. Heck, I'm doing a crossover RIGHT now. I'm using my CURRENT strip as a way of dropping my first character into my UPCOMING strip, set in an AU. LOL.

Finding Dee Fish @findingdeefish.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

That book would end up being 1,200 pages long! I could never get that printed. lol And sadly, the interest for the character and old material wouldn't justify a Kickstarter, I fear.

A bit of fun fan pandering... fandering... that I did for the strip a couple of years ago! Like whatever they heck you like, peeps. Interest isn't gendered.

This strip ALWAYS feels relevant after conventions when I'm a little worn out. Add to that a few commissions I need to get finished, launching a new novel and getting ready to launch a new strip, and I could dearly use a vacation. Sadly, my bills all disagree. Lol

I mean, Dandy's not WRONG here. His strip premiered online on October 11th, 2001. Knowing this, Sabrina and I have been planning this dual launch of the upcoming "Adventures in Dungeoneering" with these lead-in strips for MONTHS! Here's hoping it proves worth the wait.

Dandy Q. Dog here was the star of my first-ever comic strip. It's a comic I created as a little kid back in the early 80s, but that ran ONLINE as "Dandy & Company" from 2001 to 2018. With it's 25th anniversary coming up, I've REALLY been wanting to do something NEW with him.
