"A broken system Where squatters Hold all the power" Someone decided this was a credible pitch for a show in the same country which opened a facility called "Alligator Alcatraz" and then locked a bunch of people up in it without warrants or trials.
Across America a nightmare is unfolding. Experienced squatters exploit legal loopholes to live rent-free in homes that don't belong to them as devastated homeowners watch helplessly. From charming con artists to a dangerous extremist, these manipulators know how to weaponize tenant protections, turning the law against rightful owners. Each episode follows families forced into impossible battles to reclaim their properties, exposing a broken system where squatters hold all the power.

It's hard to pick a single favorite performer in Edgar Wright's THE RUNNING MAN (which I'm finally catching up with), but I think it's Colman Domingo. I've seen so many shitty, lazy takes on the Evil Game Show Host that just lean on the campiness and don't try. Domingo goes HARD and it's wonderful.

"A Setting Earth"

art002e009289 (April 6, 2026) – The lunar surface fills the frame in sharp detail, as seen during the Artemis II lunar flyby, while a distant Earth sets in the background. This image was captured at 6:41 p.m. EDT, on April 6, 2026, just three minutes before the Orion spacecraft and its crew went behind the Moon and lost contact with Earth for 40 minutes before emerging on the other side. In this image, the dark portion of Earth is experiencing nighttime, while on its day side, swirling clouds are visible over the Australia and Oceania region. In the foreground, Ohm crater shows terraced edges and a relatively flat floor marked by central peaks — formed when the surface rebounded upward during the impact that created the crater.

art002e009288 (April 6, 2026) – Earthset captured through the Orion spacecraft window at 6:41 p.m. EDT, April 6, 2026, during the Artemis II crew’s flyby of the Moon. A muted blue Earth with bright white clouds sets behind the cratered lunar surface. The dark portion of Earth is experiencing nighttime. On Earth’s day side, swirling clouds are visible over the Australia and Oceania region. In the foreground, Ohm crater has terraced edges and a flat floor interrupted by central peaks. Central peaks form in complex craters when the lunar surface, liquefied on impact, splashes upwards during the crater’s formation.

art002e009301 (April 6, 2026) – Captured by the Artemis II crew during their lunar flyby on April 6, 2026, this image shows the Moon fully eclipsing the Sun. From the crew’s perspective, the Moon appears large enough to completely block the Sun, creating nearly 54 minutes of totality and extending the view far beyond what is possible from Earth. The corona forms a glowing halo around the dark lunar disk, revealing details of the Sun’s outer atmosphere typically hidden by its brightness. Also visible are stars, typically too faint to see when imaging the Moon, but with the Moon in darkness stars are readily imaged. This unique vantage point provides both a striking visual and a valuable opportunity for astronauts to document and describe the corona during humanity’s return to deep space. The faint glow of the nearside of the Moon is visible in this image, having been illuminated by light reflected off the Earth.

You okay, snack writer?
Knockoffs of more popular brand-named snacks are so rampant in the grocery industry that many of us had entire childhoods based on them. Memories abound of parents returning home from the grocery store with the cheaper, off-color doppelganger of the cooler snack, much to their kid’s disappointment. This meant Stauffer’s Whales instead of Pepperidge Farm Goldfish, Tootie Fruities instead of Froot Loops, and chips that were so generic that their brand name was actually “Potato Chips.”

When such cheated children complained to their parents about cupboards filled with food that looked and tasted a little off, they usually smiled back wistfully, as if to say, “Hey, we didn’t get to marry the people we actually wanted, so you don’t get brand-name treats.” Just me?

Whatever you called them—knockoffs, dupes, look-alikes, imitations, that shit in the piss-yellow box—you knew these products on sight. They all live in an uncanny valley of snacks

We know you might have questions. Check out our Help Center for more information or contact us at any time.
Thank you for choosing Netflix. We’re committed to bringing you more great TV shows, movies, games and live programming.

A "high-velocity air rifle" firing "metal projectiles" is a BB gun, and if this guy plink-plinked even one "projectile" in the cops' direction, then they fucking knew it was a BB gun and they killed him anyway. Way to go, Bellevue PD.
A Bellevue police officer shot and killed a man who shot at officers with a “high-velocity air rifle” early Friday, investigators confirmed nearly 18 hours later.

Washington State Patrol Sgt. Jermaine Walker confirmed the fatal shooting, which is under investigation by King County’s Independent Force Investigation Team. The shooting happened about 12:30 a.m. Friday.

Walker said no other information about the shooting victim, or the involved officer or officers has been released. Bellevue police spokesperson Seth Tyler said the department would not independently release body- or dash-camera video. That will be left up to the independent investigators, he said.

Officers recovered an air rifle that fired metal projectiles, Walker said.

Investigators did not release the nature of the call officers responded to. The shooting occurred following a lengthy standoff, Walker said.

By Khadeeja Safdar
and Joe Palazzolo
July 17, 2025 6:45 pm ET

"It isn’t clear how the letter with Trump’s signature was prepared. Inside the outline of the naked woman was a typewritten note styled as an imaginary conversation between Trump and Epstein, written in the third person.

“Voice Over: There must be more to life than having everything,” the note began.

Donald: Yes, there is, but I won’t tell you what it is.

Jeffrey: Nor will I, since I also know what it is.

Donald: We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.

Jeffrey: Yes, we do, come to think of it.

Donald: Enigmas never age, have you noticed that?

Jeffrey: As a matter of fact, it was clear to me the last time I saw you.

Trump: A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.

Here's the entire section they sought to mischaracterize. Read it yourself (source in the alt text). I read it, I see, "Don't write sex laws that are designed or selectively enforced to eliminate queer people."
Principle 16 - Consensual sexual conduct

Consensual sexual conduct, irrespective of the type of sexual activity, the sex/gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression of the people involved or their marital status, may not be criminalized in any circumstances. Consensual same-sex, as well as consensual different-sex sexual relations, or consensual sexual relations with or between trans, non-binary and other gender-diverse people, or outside marriage – whether pre-marital or extramarital – may, therefore, never be criminalized.

With respect to the enforcement of criminal law, any prescribed minimum age of consent to sex must be applied in a non-discriminatory manner. Enforcement may not be linked to the sex/gender of participants or age of consent to marriage. Moreover, sexual conduct involving persons below the domestically prescribed minimum age of consent to sex may be consensual in fact, if not in law. In this context, the enforcement of criminal law should reflect the rights and capacity of persons under 18 years of age to make decisions about engaging in consensualsexual conduct and their right to be heard in matters concerning them. Pursuant to their evolving capacities and progressive autonomy, persons under 18 years of age should participate in decisions affecting them, with due regard to their age, maturity and best interests, and with specific attention to non-discrimination guarantees.

In the case of Grok, significant effort has been made to ensure it actively spreads false information. But as a starting point: AI can't see itself or explain itself. You can't ask an AI why it said something. Or if something is real. It cannot say, for it does not know.
