Reposted by figaminwearr @wearr.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Seems like EoSD:NC is using AI image generation without disclosing it on Steam! As a reminder, the 4 on the clock should be IV or IIII, not IIV, the subdivisions between the numbers are wrong also. #touhou #eosd #eosdnc #newclassic #東方紅魔郷 #東方 #東方Project 126922
figamin @figamin.net · 17/06/2026A wonderful little demo that truly shines on a CRT with beautiful PC-98 style art, and manages to be both earnest and relatable. Definitely worth your time, and I'm looking forward to future updates! 050
figamin @figamin.net · 11/06/2026did anyone else have touhou on ps2 when they were a kid? found an old tape i recorded 020
figamin @figamin.net · 09/06/2026It's surreal to see mainline touhou on console + offical steam translations after 24 years, and honestly, these redrawn sprites look incredible. I feel like this will really be a watershed moment for the series as a whole, especially in the west. 040
figamin @figamin.net · 17/03/2026sometimes i like to read visual novels with this old handset i modified. it's a very classic feeling, almost like you're talking to the girls on the phone... 022
figamin @figamin.net · 16/03/2026you just know someone's gonna read higurashi with this and it's gonna look like 8927283
figamin @figamin.net · 06/03/2026Alysa Liu recently went viral for her Teen Vogue rant on the correct way to read Higurashi. "It's gotta be with the original sprites and backgrounds", the figure skater said, adding "it's important to remember this was Ryukishi's vision and should be viewed as a holistic work." 02210
figamin @figamin.net · 01/03/2026Ironically enough, PC-98 VNs (which are 16:10) do widescreen visuals better than most modern ones. 020
figamin @figamin.net · 28/01/2026With the new Shizuku translation out on it's 30th anniversary, it's a better time than any to experience the game that coined the term "visual novel". Here's the intro on real hardware! 011
figamin @figamin.net · 30/05/2025Helped contribute to this. Well worth a read for anyone interested in the recent discourse surrounding Touhou (especially AI, DMCA, and Ruw's role in all of this) 021
figamin @figamin.net · 05/05/2025A new beginning (and also a new setup - makes it a lot easier for me to take pics & stream in the future) 010
figamin @figamin.net · 18/02/2025It's nice seeing the setup from Shion's perspective. Starting to fill in the gaps. 020
figamin @figamin.net · 18/02/2025Finally got my steam deck to output 640x480 on my CRT, so much more convenient than using my old PC. Gonna start posting pics again unspoilered... so look away if you haven't read 010
figamin @figamin.net · 03/02/2025time for chapter 3! today's issue cover is just ataru, but the chapter cover goes back to the dramatic (and reminds me a lot of the original star wars poster) 110
Reposted by figaminwapchan.org @wapchan.org · 01/02/2025Some highlights from the "Post a /cel/ image every time you visit" thread: wapchan.org/cel/res/2922... 011
figamin @figamin.net · 01/02/2025for chapter 2, the cover of the issue features the art from chapter 1 with lum, and yet the chapter inside is totally absent of her, a complete flip of the first chapter. funny how that turned out. 110
figamin @figamin.net · 01/02/2025gonna be starting a new longform series of threads on here & twitter - looking at every chapter of urusei yatsura. why? mostly because i haven't actually read the manga since i did a storytime on /a/ back in 2021, and there's a lot to see from rumiko's first. 111
figamin @figamin.net · 31/01/2025it's crazy that windows xp is older than half the people on this site and yet you can still get a current build of VLC and play MKVs over the network no problem, it even makes thumbnails 020
figamin @figamin.net · 28/01/2025Another interesting Higurashi find - the standalone version of the basketball game (v101) that's floating around seems to be missing a few modes found in the FurudeNet version. 110
figamin @figamin.net · 28/01/2025Managed to track down an even older translation! But you can never have enough Satoko, can you? 020
figamin @figamin.net · 24/12/2024This is probably my favorite scene in early UY (from episode 12). They stop the plot for a whole minute just to have this goofy dance AMV and I love it for that #uruseiyatsura 010

figamin @figamin.net · 17/12/2024Been catching up on my backlog... - Tatarigoroshi: I read the first two higurashi question arcs on my laptop over the summer before my headphone cable got bent. Only done with the first chapter but it's a real sweet one. 110
