Agreed. Already voted in-person absentee because I'll be out of town on election day. I'm seeing roughly equal "Yes on 3" and "No on 3" yard signs. Hopefully, the "Nos" will carry it. Interestingly, I've started seeing far-right ads saying "No on 3" /1

MO, not OH, but "with excuse" in-person absentee voting opened a week-plus ago. Voted early because will be out of town on election day. Done! (Significant ballot issues as well as candidates in MO, so important to be heard across all.)

Given the poor delivery performance of USPS in MO (often takes more than a week for local deliveries), it is better to use the in-person early voting opportunities.

Note that "with excuse" absentee voting is already live in MO. Started a week or so ago. You do have to go to the county election board office but if you're going travel during the "no excuse" period through election day, you can vote NOW.

Beautiful alignment. Sometimes you plan and wait years. Other times, an opportunity presents itself. Long-time admirer of Ansel Adams, the story behind his iconic "Moonrise, Hernandes NM" photo starts out with being at the right place and right time. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moonris...

MIZ ZOU! Go Tigers. Unfortunately, you're probably right, at least for Mizzou alumni. Being an MIT (undergrad) and WashU (grad) alum, that won't affect me. Having been Hawley-ed up Schmitt Creek without the proverbial paddle will guide my voting in 2028 and 2030.

I'm sure there are antique audio enthusiasts in the UK who have working reel-to-reel decks. Then one of those little audio digitizer gizmos and a laptop and he'll be set. I also have a digital audio recorder and digitized nearly 100 cylinder records before selling off the player and cylinders /1

It pains me to admit I'm from MO but I am. One might say we've been Hawley-ed up Schmitt Creek. Worse, we don't get to vote either of them out in 2026. Schmitt's term is up in 2028 and Hawley in 2030 so we have another 2 or 4 years, minimum, of these two clowns in office. (an insult to real clowns)

First trick is to find someone with a working reel-to-reel player (mine died 20 years ago). Then USB digitizers are pretty easy to find. I did a quick Amazon search and came up with several, of which this is one example: www.amazon.com/ClearClick-A... /1

In 64/40 R/D MO? Even if we had recall powers, odds of getting a supermajority to do so are zero. We'll have our chance in 2 years although odds of retiring him will still be slim then unless the Democrats run a viable candidate for President who brings along House and Senate coattails.

They're peas in a pod. 2028 (Schmitt) and 2030 (Hawley) can't come soon enough. We don't even get a chance in 2026. Hopefully, my fellow MO voters will remember all of these shenanigans in 2 and 4 years.

We Missourians have to wait until 2028 to vote his rump into retirement. Then 2030 for his colleague Josh Hawley. One can only hope our voters have long enough memories to keep these events in mind in 2 and 4 years.

Who, me? Skeptical? Hard pass. That said, I did just use my login.gov to update my Global Entry data. My passport expired earlier this year and I needed to enter the new passport #, issue and expiration dates into my Global Entry data. Can't avoid all .gov databases.

We have to wait for 2028 to vote Schmitt out of office. (And 2030 for Josh Hawley) No chance to clean our Senate seats this year, unfortunately.

Voted absentee today (will be traveling on election day). Hard "no" on 3. Yard sign poll (totally unscientific) is running about 50/50 so I expect it to be much closer than the votes in August but I still have hope of defeating 3.

Alan Ritter @fieroshadow.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
Since we'll be traveling on election day, drove up to the County Board of Election Commissioners office and voted absentee (in person) today. MO mail delivery has been so undependable that I didn't trust the USPS to get a mailed absentee ballot delivered on time. Half hour drive each way, done.
