This fancy fellow showed up in our neighborhood not long after I read the short story "Marginalia," which I think is by @maryrobinettekowal.com.

A very large golden snail sits inside a metal gazebo in someone's back yard. The snail is at least 4 feet tall at the top of his shell and has a glittery gold automotive flake finish. Flowering vines climb up one leg of the gazebo.

Maybe he just has big feet. The rescue org and the vet predicted that our Bailey would end up at about 40-45 lbs because of the size of his feet, but he never got bigger than about 30.

My ring from @peculiarityshop.bsky.social took the scenic route, going from MA to OH to St Louis (!?), and then, apparently, up the Mississippi by keelboat, but it's finally here! It's beautiful, fits perfectly, and I love it.

My pendant from @oishinythings.bsky.social arrived, and it is so lovely! The wirework is much more delicate than I had thought, based on the photos. And labradorite is a magical stone - it fools you into thinking it's not that special, and then the light hits at just the right angle.

A delicate silver wire net surrounds an oval labradorite cabochon, which is a little bit bigger than the width of my thumb. There's an elaborate silver wire bale at the top, and the pendant is on a leather cord. My thumb is angling the pendant so that you can see the flash of green/yellow/blue in the stone.

My earrings arrived from @peculiarityshop.bsky.social today! What you can't see on the photo is that there is the most subtle hint of glitter in the blue drops. I love them!

A frog turned up on my printer at work one day. I thought he was a large dust bunny until I lifted the lid. He was relocated to the nearby pond after getting his picture taken.

I can highly recommend Anne at Scandia Quilt Studio. scandiaquiltstudio.com She does very good work and is great at coming up with different ideas for things. This is a detail of one she quilted for me.

My earrings from @peculiarityshop.com arrived on day 12 of my 12-1-6 work schedule, perfectly timed to give me a much-needed boost! As usual, their work is gorgeous!

Two pairs of earrings lie on a background of black fabric. The fabric has tiny cat heads and stars in rainbow colors that pick up the colors of the earrings. The longer pair on the left has blue and white beads, ending in silver Saturn charms, complete with rings. The pair on the right has mostly green beads, gold-toned metal, and green enamel Saturn charms at the end.

Ooh, are you double-knitting? I did a scarf that way - it is slow, but I really like the result. Have to really concentrate on it, though!

The ends of a double-knit scarf, made in black and tan alpaca yarns. One side of the scarf has a black raven on a tan background, with black raven footprints leading up the scarf. The other side is the same pattern, except that the colors are reversed - a tan raven on a black background.
