Due to health concerns, we have had to train all of our cats on bowls that read their RFID chips. The Voids, whom we adopted at the same time (but are from different litters), are currently trying to repeat their accustomed dance of trading food bowls partway through grazing. This is not working.

Friend elsenet pointed that out, and it IS a good point. I wrote this while a bit delirious with a cold. That being said, I think my mind automatically made that connection because generally when I see a material marketed as vegan, it's "vegan leather" - which is plastic.

The actual pattern itself. I'm still not 100% certain I did parts of it the way the author intended, because of the way they wrote it. I had to entirely reformat one of the charts so I could work through it. They didn't even give a bead count -_-

learning about fabric and weaving is so interesting, particularly in regards to denim. denim is like, very mythologized (at least in america), where like it's best if you get it raw (unwashed so it fades in the cowboy way i guess) and you should wash it infrequently and yadda yadda, but

#knittinghottake While I don't think pattern designers are necessary anymore in most cases, if you give a bad rating because of a skill issue, we have a problem. Patterns are not educational. If the pattern calls for a twisted German cast on, it doesn't have to explain how to do it.
