If memory serves me correct, this last iteration of the 348 already had a lot of the suspension updates that the 355 would get. The handling therefore was a lot better than the often critised 1st series.

My dad just told me he knew somebody who worked at a Ford dealer back then. The 2 door Taunus often suffered from sagging doors. They distracted the customer to the showroom and then put the car on a lift, put some wood under the open doors and lowered the lift... Another happy customer 😂

I watched the video of Dutch magazine AutoWeek (Dutch AutoExpress). I know this reporter is quite tall, in the 1m90something. But I am 1m92 too. Just look at where his head is. He can't see anything out of the windscreen. And then there is the terrible exterior detailing. No, not for me thanks.

A nice survivor "dans son jus", this 2001 Renault Kangoo 1.4 Spring, with funky striping and some nice wheels. Well used with but still looking pretty good. Only 1040kg empty,which is a lot lighter than the second gen (thanks to NCAP 😅). #weirdcarbs
