Just looking at the S60 and wishing I was taking it to Rustival again. Once it’s had the alloys done and a little bit of paint on the front bumper, it may go next year. Also, I’ve hesitated taking it because I know N*rdik V*kings will be there and how a couple of admins in that group

This week it was a the S60’s turn for the same treatment. I can’t remember the last time it was waxed and I’m ashamed to say that in nearly 7 years of ownership it had never been machine polished until today. Much better (apart from the shoddy alloys)

Stand down. I can’t get an insurance quote lower than £490 for it. The highest was £970. I pay just over £300 for both the S60 and MG. Time to draw up a revised jobs list for the S60…..

New lower arm fitted today. It seems so wasteful binning an entire arm because most garages won’t faff on changing just the ball joint. My spine isn’t up to such jobs of late, sadly. Hey ho. All done and the little SX4 is quiet and smooth once more.

Advice please, #weirdcarbs collective. I’ve test driven a car to replace the S60. It’s immaculate and has full dealer history. It’s done 41k. It’s n/a petrol auto. It’s from late 2012. It’s also a Japanese import. It’s another Volvo. It’s also a fair bit of money. Just under £7k. (1/2)

A quick lunchtime tinker on the S60. There is a rattle from rear n/s which is usually the handbrake on P2’s but all seems fine. Heatshield over the back box is also ok. Ahh well, clean it up and back together.

Oh dear. Just saw the first photo of the interior of the new Jag. Now, I’m not one of these “it has to be wood and leather otherwise it’s not a Jag” people but bloody hell. What an utterly depressing and sterile place to be. Ugh.
