Canada committed C$240MM. Then Cohere, Bell, Hypertec, and BUZZ/HIVE announced a Canadian AI infrastructure arrangement. Then Cohere acquired Germany's Aleph Alpha. This could be the core of a Canadian-European alternative, which is vital to digital sovereignty, depending on where they list.
