A lot of people assume FA is profitable. If that were the case we wouldn't have needed a GFM when Neer passed to keep it out of probate. It's been two years. The funds were used. FA is struggling financially. And I am 🌟s t r e s s e d🌟 I'm scared to ask for help, I feel like no matter how much-

Something I'm trying to draw related to bicep flexing, possibly featuring my dragon girl. This will likely be a waist-up artwork, but I'm sketching the lower body too just in case. Not specifically aiming for my September piece though (considering my drawing speed).
A sketch of a figure flexing its left arm for a bicep flex pose. The workspace is zoomed in on its upper body, leaving the lower body invisible. To the left of the sketch is a 3D model serving as a reference for that pose.

Some anatomy & pose sketches from my digital sketchbook I've been doing. There are some differences in both effort and quality because I pick them up whenever I come up with something or find some interesting poses. I'm thinking of using some of these poses for later works.
A page containing sketches of five figures in different poses, each focusing on the general structure of their body and the shapes of muscles.A page containing sketches of six figures in different poses, each focusing on the general structure of their body and the shapes of muscles.

Party’s Over Really happy with how this commission turned out! It was definitely a challenge since I’ve never drawn an angle like this before, but I had a lot of fun with it.

Some figure sketches, in an attempt to improve my drafting and sketching stages. I tried to focus on the general shapes and flows of the musculature instead of the details of each part. So the anatomy and the proportions are quite messy. Been thinking of doing a page like this.
A page containing sketches of four figures in different poses, each focusing on the general shapes of muscles and their outlines.

Also a little fun fact about this piece: This was supposed to be an August monthly art, but I spent way too much time on this one and ended up finishing in the middle of September, which coincided with my birthday. So this is both a monthly piece and a present for myself. :)

Timelapse. Initially I was going to have her fingers interlocked, but I figured using a dumbbell would be a good idea. I tried to put on her colors, but decided to do just lines because it would take hella much more time. I will definitely come back later and color this properly.

Staying in top shape. A thigh-up art of my dragon OC Lenia, in the middle of her routine. This was originally planned as a full-body art with colors, but I've become too worn out to continue. A little more buff than her original physique, but one can fantasize a bit, right? 😊 #furry #furryart
Grayscale thigh-up artwork of a muscular anthropomorphic dragon. She has long curly hair reaching down to her waist and is wearing a dark-toned tank-top and leggings. Looking at the viewer, she is standing and holding a dumbbell at waist height.

I really should get myself away from sidetracking and thinking "maybe if I change this part into something like this.." in the middle of the sketch clean-up and/or lineart steps. Exploring is fun, but it drags down my already sluggish drawing process..

6 months since I started drawing. Time sure does fly. I never thought I'd stick with art for this long. I haven't done much output-wise, but I've tried to draw at least some lines every day, and I think it has helped me improve bit by bit. Let's keep pushing for another 6 months.

I don't think I can finish the monthly drawing before August ends. 🙃 I'm probably trying to bite more than I can even chew. I hope it doesn't drag on past the first week of September at least.
A sketch of the upper body of a dragon anthropomorphic figure, mainly focusing on the muscular anatomy. The figure is bringing its arms inward to contract the pectoral muscles.

I can never get the "witty" comments on someone else's artwork. I guess it's their way of appreciation, but oftentimes they seem to just make use of some parts/elements of the work to achieve comedy while disregarding the essence of it. It feels disrespectful even to a watcher like me.

I realized that I had turned on timelapse recording. I'm spending the most time in the lineart step because I'm having a hard time figuring out hands, feet and heads. But I forced myself to draw them, can't be avoiding them all the time. More studying would be required though.

An anatomy/pose practice, based on one of Rob Banbury's sketchbook pages. This page was very challenging since it comprises poses and angles I'm not used to yet. Rearranged in the order in which they were completed. Notice the (diminishing) change both in detail and focus. XD #furry #furryart
A lineart of four muscular anthropomorphic figures, mainly focusing on the muscular anatomy based on reference poses shown on the top-left side of the screen. The leftmost figure is seated on an invisible surface and has both hands above its head. The other three figures are viewed from their side, each posing with their hands and feet in different ways. Each of the figures has numbers on them to indicate which pose each figure is based on from the reference picture.

Late night(?) anatomy & pose sketch. First time drawing a lying pose to try something other than standing poses. I'll continue on this later on the digital canvas while figuring out the lower body.
Sketch of a muscular figure lying on its side, with its right hand supporting its placeholder head. The lower body part below the knees has been omitted.

Truer words have never been spoken. Even if you're gifted, you still need to hone your assets, and that goes for anything including muscles. She's amazing in that sense, with the grit and perseverance it takes for her to achieve such a colossal physique. I'm both entertained and amazed. :D

I set a self-rule of drawing one "finished" artwork every month and have been following it, and I think it's working well so far. It makes me intentional about the artwork and consider how to proceed and how to improve it as I continue. I'll keep sticking to it going forward.

And here's my Hyenid avatar on VRC that served as the pose reference (and yes, I did the pose myself). Hyenas are cool!

"You really wanna know what these two taste like?" I tried to experiment with coloring using 5 shades of black and white. I think I like how it looks. Not thinking of shading for now, maybe I'll give it a shot in my next piece. Very happy with this one overall. #furry #furryart
Black and white half-body artwork of a muscular anthropomorphic striped hyena. She has short hair/mane and is wearing a dark-toned tank-top, exposing her defined abdominal muscles. She is holding both fists up to shoulder height, tilting his head to one side, and sneering at the viewer.

Today's anatomy sketch, digitally this time. Trying different ways to draft the body structures. I like how these two came out, may develop more on these in the future.
Sketch of two humanoid figures, focusing on the general muscular anatomy. The figure on the left is standing and resting both of its hands on its chest, and its head is slightly turned to its left. A 3D human figure is placed on its left as a pose reference. The figure on the right is showing its back with its right arm held high above a non-existent head.

Late night anatomy sketch. Quite messy and incorrect in several parts, but I tried my best. Note to self: don't use thick mechanical pencil before outlining. XD My new phone's camera and its editing app are pretty good! I can now snap and upload my sketches in better quality.

A good personal rule if you have artist friends is if they show you something they made, never ever mention what it reminds you of. It immediately invites comparison and changes the conversation to not be about them and their creativity.

Sometimes I wonder where the artists have gone who had left many great works but suddenly vanished one day. It's sad, but I can only wish that they exist somewhere in the world, alive and hopefully well.

Fitness fox. This had started out as a random pose, but ended up with a thigh-up lineart. I tried to draw a head and breasts, but I'm not sure if I've got them right. I also may have made her a bit too muscular. XD Ah well. #furry #furryart

Getting back to the previous pose practices. It's been a while since I last touched this file.. I see a bit of improvement compared to how I drew before (pink lines). Still janky, but it's making a little more sense, at least IMO. I also didn't forget to give a furry head lol #furry #furryart
Rough lineart of a generic muscular anthropomorphic figure (ears to be drawn later), mainly focusing on the muscular anatomy based on a reference pose shown on the top-left side of the screen. The figure is sitting on an invisible surface, and both hands are raised over the figure's head. Translucent pink drafting lines below the black lineart indicate the body's general construction. The current line art differs significantly from the draft because it was drawn several months ago.

Today's sketch, based on a photo. This time, I focused more on the silhouette than on the muscular anatomy. I realized too late that I had placed the figure too high on the page and that I can't use the move tool for pencil drawings. XD I'll keep that in mind next time.
Pencil sketch of a female figure, focusing on the silhouette of her gesture. The figure is standing with her legs apart, and her head is turned to her right. Her right arm is extended to her right and her left arm is behind her head.

As much as I'd like to draw something "interesting", I don't want to be knocked out because it takes hella lot of time.. even making a single pose for practice takes so many hours. Once a month might be okay I think, but that still feels like a huge challenge for me.
