I know you all just want to hear about my date, but bear with me here: I’m about to change my blog theme (have I ever mentioned how much I hate change? I do, I hate it). About 54% of my readers access my blog from desktops, 32% from mobiles, and 14% from tablets. My current theme is so old that it doesn’t properly support the smaller devices, [...]

In my last post, in amongst the ‘being cute’ thing, bambi suggested I should write about “overcomplicating things like ‘I like touching’ and communications”. It was a good suggestion. I am learning how bambi communicates, and vice versa of course. I have joked that we each need translators. I’m only half kidding. I tend to speak carelessly and broadly. [...]

I’ve only been in love a few times and each time I ‘knew’ it differently. The realisation of love, the clarity of ‘I love you’ arrives for me in different ways. Sometimes a wave of everything that came before just catches up with me, sometimes some piercing emotion that almost lifts me off my feet. I can romanticise those moments, [...]

I had five social events and numerous phone calls in the week around my birthday. FIVE! It is amazing to me that people want to spend time with me (I am a bad friend/daughter/sister etc, for the most part), and I am grateful for their perseverance, as much as I find the socialising exhausting. I could pretend that the over-peopling is the reason I’ve kind of shut down, [...]

I’m trying something new to kick the Ferns Workout Crew (#fwocrew) into the new year. I took a look at all of our public workout logs over the weekend and noticed a distinct lack of activity for most of us (me included) in the last few (erm… many?!) weeks. Completely understandable of course: I mean, holidays, Christmas, [...]

I like your face.  It is so amazingly expressive, I can’t believe that no-one has ever told you that. How is it that no-one has ever told you that? I like the way you arch your eyebrow, like you are some super villain plotting the world’s demise. I like your pretty eyes, each with slightly different colourings, [...]

It is quiet, there is no violence, no urgency. I am working on him, moving him into position, manipulating limbs, pulling and pushing at him. He starts to sweat, the moisture collecting between his shoulder blades, I continue to gently put pressure on him, he moves very little unless I tell him to, a tiny shift, [...]

She sighed as she walked through the front door, throwing her briefcase by the hall table. She smoothed her skirt, shrugged in her jacket, took a deep breath and turned to look into the lounge room. He was sprawled on the couch in jeans and t-shirt, comfortable, had been watching television. He had glanced up when she entered and now he was looking at her, [...]

I haven’t received a happy femdom story in my inbox for so long. I do love them so. This is a story of remote connection and D/s that was born out of a shared love of words and, unlike many other happy femdom stories I’ve shared it, is one that illustrates that D/s relationships do not have to be about romance to thrive and grow and to make the participants happy. [...]

“…I wonder if you’re gonna wait for me or if you’re gonna find a new boy to spoon, I wish that I could see you soon…” “How long ’til you can see her? And I’m like – the sooner the better Do you really think she will wait for you? And I’m like there’s no way to say and there’s nothing I can do…”  I will wait for you baby, [...]

This short, sweet, gentle femdom audio p*rn is nothing like my normal podcast content. I ad-libbed the audio, and then wrote a story about it, a story that mirrors what I was thinking as I recorded it. I suggest you listen to the audio first, before reading the story, and let your imagination take you where it will. [...]

I put a blindfold on him and stand close. I lean into his ear, whisper, “You are going to undress me, and kiss me all over, starting at my feet…” He nods, smiles broadly, “Yes Ma’am!” He is nervous, eager, shifting from foot to foot. He reaches out tentatively to make contact with me, starts at the top with my shirt, [...]

Hello 22yo_slave_from_nowhere_near_me, If you are really a slave then the least you can do is pay attention to what women say in their profiles and behave accordingly. Does my profile say: “If you are nowhere near me and have no way to actually serve me, please email me with poor spelling and grammar begging to be my slave”? I just checked and it doesn’t. So, [...]

There is a perception by some out there in the world that dominants enjoy conflict. Maybe some dominants do, but I’m not one of them. One of the reasons I operate better in a D/s relationship is because I *dislike* conflict. I don’t like arguing, I don’t like fighting, and I *really* don’t like wasting time on stupid irrelevancies that shouldn’t even be a ‘thing’. I want a harmonious, [...]

I promise I won’t make this blog all about my book from now on, but but… I have to dance in public over wonderful five star reviews. Because happy-making!! *dances* Riveting tales of passion, pain, love, and Dominance  One of the most fascinating collection of stories I have ever had the pleasure of reading. The author has an amazing ability at capturing your attention in the beginning and keeping you on the edge of your seat waiting to read the next tale of passion and romance. [...]

I don’t normally post what comes into my inbox, but this stunningly lovely email arrived in my email yesterday and it made me so very happy I wanted to share it.  If I ever wonder why I write, this is more than enough to remind me. (posted with permission) ___ Subject: A long overdue thank you Hey Ferns,  I’ve been meaning to send this message for a long time and finally got around to it tonight. [...]

Have you ever taken the Meyers Brigs Personality Inventory, and if so, what was your type beyond being introverted? I have. I did it as part of a serious exercise in something-or-other at work way back when, and have since done it again online for curiosity’s sake with the same result. I’m an INFJ. Introvert(78%) iNtuitive(25%) Feeling(25%) Judging(33%) When I first did the test forever ago, [...]

So this is the ‘what happened’ post. Firstly let me say that Bambi is fucking lovely. Seriously. He’s adorable and smart and sweet and willing and funny and sexy and passionate and quirky and pretty and and… *shrug*… all sorts of good things. We just… didn’t work together. Intellectually and emotionally, we got nothin’. We talked about it, [...]

Introversion and dominance

This post is sparked by Nlikes recent post where he put up pictures of a gorgeous woman he has a long distance communication going with.  In a similar way, I like to show off what’s mine. Even if it’s not really mine. Or only mine in a sense or for a little while. It’s not just about appreciation, [...]

I love to kiss him when he is endorphined up and blissed, when everything in him is made soft and his eyes are glazed. He would be happy to lie there with me and float away, but when I touch his cheek he turns to face me, not really looking, not really, he is elsewhere, but I know he feels the feather-like touch through the haze. His mouth is made so gentle when he is like this, [...]

I have been wanting to send my ex boy a copy of my book. After all, it is mostly about him, he was key in encouraging me to put my writing out into the world: It exists in no small part because of and for him. It is a selfish thing, though, this desire. It is probably kinder of me to leave him alone. [...]

I’d love to do an end of year round-up like a proper and serious blogger. You know: stats and reviews and thoughtful reflections (this is my 715th post, by the way… so there you go, the stats part is covered now…). But I am waiting for family to arrive, we will spend the next few days together. [...]

Flood. Almost three weeks after Queensland’s flood crisis began, an unprecedented 80 per cent of the state was yesterday declared a disaster zone… Most of my family and friends are (so far) largely unaffected though a couple have evacuated their homes. I am overseas at the moment, but keeping a close eye on what is going on. We are expecting the worst on Thursday with a very high tide and a release of water from an overflowing dam upstream which will send a lot of additional water down the already flooded river. They are expecting 30 suburbs in Brisbane to be flooded in the next couple of days, [...]

She calls him to be with her at 6pm sharp. In the meantime, she prepares, already walking through the scene in her mind. Feeling herself moisten in anticipation. She puts the ankle and wrist cuffs by the door for him. She readies a bottle of champagne, tempted to have a glass, but wants her senses alert. Then she waits. She hears the door open and turns towards the sound. [...]

User names are like a signature on the internet or in the community. I figure if you chose it, you did so to specifically and unequivocally communicate something about yourself. That being the case, many are a complete turn off for me. If a submale has a user name that communicates an icky message, he is going to have to work *extra* hard to make me believe he’s actually an intelligent, [...]

On my ‘About me‘ page, I show off my ‘Top 100 Best Sex Blogger’ badges from 2010 and 2011 because I am all about the ego, you know. Let’s see if I can make it to the top 100 in 2012 shall we? If you want to help, put on your best pimp hat and pop over to Between My Sheets and make up something nice to say about me in the comments. [...]

I saw this attempt to have cybersex with Cleverbot on tumblr and it made me laugh so hard :D.  I’ve had some fun with Cleverbot before, but not attempted cyber fornication. Of course I thought “Imma try this”! Me: Cybersex. Cleverbot: You are cyborg? You start. Okay. Banana. *takes off shirt*. Is that legal? *takes off pants*. Now kneel. *kneels*.  Now say, I will obet [sic… [...]

Ten days ago, my sweet friend Peroxide placed a personal ad in location-specific groups for a female dominant. He is looking purely for casual play. Charming young sub, seeking casual play partner Hi, I’m Peroxide, I write Submissive in Seattle and I’m looking for a nice lady to be my casual play partner. I don’t do sex or D/s outside of a LTR, [...]

We are all scared, I said. I know but I’m really scared. Of what? Everything. I’m scared of everything. Well cut that shit out. A short laugh. Not unkind. I can’t.  You can. Pick them out one at a time, those fears. A small one first. Take out your sword and your shield and brandish them like a warrior in full flight. [...]

Another in the series of 'emails I have sent', mostly to random self-identified malesubs who land in my inbox with some kind of delusional fantasy...

Thinking…About masturbating Thinking about you, and thinking about masturbatingThinking about you, spread-eagle, restrained and blindfoldedFace up, on a bedAnd I touch you, with my fingers, my mouth, my hair, my breastsDifferent places, all over, in different ways, to see how you react And if I get what I want I do more of it Like I might expect if I licked your cock from base to head with the flat of my tongueOr if I nipped the inside of your thigh with my teeth Or if I stroked your lips with my breast and then a nippleOr if I licked and nibbled at your neck, [...]

Mostly I leave you to imagine the email I am responding to, but this one deserves a little backstory…  In response to my post here, where I coveted this t-shirt, a lovely reader of this blog with whom I have exchanged a few sweet emails offered to send it to me, or buy it on my behalf…  ______________  Hello lovely_boy_reader, That is incredibly kind of you. [...]

I hover with my face just above his, I can’t trust myself to touch him in the moment because I want to crash into and through him with teeth and bone and blood and the hardness of clashing steel. And even though I am soft, really, all tender and smooth flesh that gives and bends, I am afraid that I will really hurt him. [...]

All going well (caveat caveat, fingers crossed, baby animals sacrificed and etc…), bambi will be the first man to see the results of my body project. My nakedness in all its post-working-out glory. After all this frigging work I have been doing, I expect angels to sing the hallelujah chorus, and a glorious light to stream down from the heavens when I unveil.  [...]

I take him by surprise, from sweetness to sprung energy, I grab him by the throat and shove him backwards, fast, sudden. He almost loses his balance, his eyes widen, he thuds into the wall just as he starts to flail. I wonder if he will fight me. I want to see it. I watch the flash of defiance, [...]

I’m just going to place this here: a shot across the bow for all of you romantics and well-wishers, so you know what is coming… so I don’t feel like I am misleading you. There will be no happy ending for bambi and me. There, I said it, quietly, with regret. I am not wanting to dwell on it or talk about it right now because I don’t want to spend what little time we have left spinning into the sadness that I know is coming. [...]

Continued from Part 1… Both this and my last post were prompted by this musing on twitter. My twitter comments were in turn prompted by seeing yet ANOTHER young woman asking for help to fix what was wrong with her that she couldn’t come from intercourse.  It hurts my heart that young women think there is something wrong with them because they can’t come from penis in vagina (PIV) sex. [...]

It is morning, he is still asleep, I am reading in the lounge room, the bedroom door in my peripheral vision. He is not allowed to come out of the room without permission. I hear a sound and lift my gaze, the smirk already curling the corners of my mouth. The door opens slowly, his hand appears curled around the jamb, [...]

Our first phone call tasted like intimacy. He was a little freaked out beforehand, worried about awkward silences.  Instead, it flowed easily, warm and affectionate. He joked that I would blog about his ‘girlish voice’ after I mused that his voice was not quite how I expected it to be (see how this works, e? You joke about it, [...]

Later today, I am going to move the blog… eeekkk!!! For those of you whose feeds do not update, or who are ‘following’ the blog, this may be the last post you see from me in your reader until you update the feed from the new site. So if you are looking for me, by the end of today, [...]

I am so delighted at the amazing responses to my survey so far that I wanted to post a premature ‘thank you!’.  I am enjoying the feedback immensely! Not only for the stats, which are interesting enough all on their own, but even more so for the fabulous comments that you are volunteering – they are thoughtful, [...]

Yes, I really am this corny! Images courtesy of one of my good friends, thank you.  [...]

Aw yeah, I started a tumblr: http://domme-chronicles.tumblr.com/. “But why, Ferns?” Well you might ask. For the gaping void between ‘a proper blog post’ and ‘140 chars on twitter’ in which I am left flailing on my own with no social media into which to throw every passing thought. And because sometimes I just want to go “Look, LOOK!!”. Also, [...]

This cracker of a question was asked by someone on my Ask Me page all anonymous-like: What is the best advice you can give to a new Domme? I’m feeling uncertain about how to blend the vanilla and the D/s in a new relationship. It’s tough not only to be figuring out yourself and your needs but learning someone else’s, [...]

This is my 1000th post on this blog. Holy fuck! When I started this blog 6 years and 1 month ago (phew!), I wanted to show what a female dominant/male submissive relationship actually looks like when it’s in a context of love and complexity and real life. I was in a relationship with my boy then. You saw me navigate that relationship with passion and and were witness to my heartbreak when it ended. [...]
