Thrifted this vintage puffin mug yesterday. It reminds me (in a strangely cozy way) of my time spent in Iceland.

These characters only ask for one thing: read the their story (for free) at feolnir.substack.com! It’s a fantasy web novel serializing weekly! It was so refreshing to draw this, btw. For months art felt more like an obligation. But this was different! This was one was for me. I hope you like it!

Since buying a Princess Mononoke sweater, my mind’s been on how it influenced the concept for Valýría from my fantasy web novel. Also! Golems! You can hear them clacking at dawn. They’re kind of annoying. But also cute. Mossy and adorned with colorful mushrooms. Inspired by Kodamas. #worldbuilding

I miss writing in my fantasy worldbuilding journal. I lost the habit when I moved to digital art and went through a rough time. I’ve been struggling with pen sketches, so I tried colored pencils instead. I don’t keep an eraser nearby, so I don’t erase any lines—but now I’ve been able to lightly draw guidelines for myself, which has helped a lot. Here’s today’s sketch, I even decided to color it this time. #illustration #art
