Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Had to drop a mattress at the tip and pick up some bubbly from Waitrose, and noticed that Oxfam had reopened after five months. In other news, I am now their new volunteer music pricer. 140

Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Find yourself DJing to an audience of primary school kids? Don't know what to play? This turned out to be the hit of yesterday's three-hour set. (Eggs by the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players, in case you can't see the video.) There's no accounting for taste! www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtaE...youtube.comTrachtenburg Family Slideshow - EggsYouTube video by barnonerecords 131

Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 23/08/2026Listening in North Norfolk to CSC with my agent in the passenger seat and Jase has got me muddled up with someone else again. Consistency counts for a lot. 010
Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 18/08/2026We went to the Raptor Foundation on the weekend. Even at 25p for a double CD, this is pretty thin gruel. 100
Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 17/08/2026Daughter wanted some driving practice so we went to Huntingdon. Top two rows 30p each, bottom row 50p 000
Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Sonic has moved into the gap between my bike shed and next door’s fence. I have left him something to drink. 120
Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 11/08/2026We've had Mrs F's 30ish niece, hubby and their two boys staying in our spare room. The cat has been hiding under the sofa in my den to avoid the "boisterous" intruders. Kids went to bed, summoned to living room: "don't be antisocial". I sat for an hour and watched 3 adults doomscrolling in silence. 010
Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 10/08/2026Holme Fen is 20 miles from me and I can smell burning. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/ce...bbc.co.ukCrews deal with peatland fire at nature reserve in CambridgeshireFirefighters say peat fires can burn underground and are "really difficult to fight ". 110

Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 19/07/2026There was a little record fair in St Ives this afternoon. It was very quiet and half the stalls were packing up at lunchtime. I spent a tenner on 8 twelves and two LPs. Nick Heyward 12 and Linda Rondstat comp from Woodgreen. 111

Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 10/07/2026I bet Bruno Brookes doesn’t have to put up with this kind of amateur nonsense. 020
Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 09/07/2026Colonoscopy report summary says "Uneventful". I beg to differ: I spent 24 hours drinking laxatives and turning myself inside out, someone injected me with Fentanyl, and someone else shoved a camera up my bum. I'd call that a fairly lively day out! 140

Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 27/06/2026Southwold Chazza raid, day zero (I nipped into EACH just before they shut, on my to the CoOp, because I left the cheese at home). 110
Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 21/06/2026There is no finer sound on a summer's evening than a child having a tantrum in a back garden... when it is someone else's problem, because yours are now in their twenties, and won't get in a paddling pool in the first place. 110
Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 21/06/2026Friday morning's St Neots chazza haul. Records: Cancer Research; CDs: the Dogs Trust. 110

Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 05/06/2026I was going to spend this afternoon recording links for my next CSC, but Microsoft have decided that my 2013 Avid USB audio interface will no longer connect to Windows 11. I met Bill Gates once, I should have kicked him in the balls. 130
Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 01/06/2026A question for the vinyl/hi-fi buffs. My Audio-Technica AT-OC9XSL (MC cartridge) has died. It could sound a bit 'edgy' with less-than-mint vinyl (I buy a lot), could that be due to the Line Contact stylus? The AT-OC9XSH (Shibata tip) is £80 cheaper. I'd sacrifice a bit of performance for robustness. 112
Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 30/05/2026Mrs F got her eyes tested while I bought some chazza tat. Everything a quid apart from fantastic minty Fern Kinney a fiver. 020
Steve Fenton @fentonsteve.bsky.social · 28/05/2026Spent yesterday evening with Mrs F, looking for holiday flats on the Suffolk coast. My first thought: "I can go to the A shop in Beccles and buy a load of chazza vinyl." I'm a lost cause, aren't I? 030
