Enjoying cooking dinner in my own kitchen again. The rental we used on vacation has this tiny narrow galley kitchen that two people really cannot use simultaneously. It is insanely well-stocked (Ninja blender, electric kettle, multitude of gadgets, good knives) BUT ... it only has seven forks.

At 20 I was considering a public administration degree/career for some reason; probably would be relieved I changed course and didn't end up a deputy county water commissioner (not to denigrate that job). Honestly everything worked out much better than I probably imagined it would at that age.

I'm starting to get truly depressed at the number of podcasts that offer me no option to simply download their audio as a file. I play podcasts from a USB drive or MP3 player that I plug into my car's dashboard. I am not streaming anything, and no phone apps will be involved.

Weeklong trip to Maine's Schoodic Peninsula and environs with the dogs is complete! That was ambitious but it came off mostly without a hitch, including 2 hotel overnights with Canine Criminals. Loved Maine.

I need to keep reminding myself that although in my home state, "State Park" almost always connotes a large outdoor area with multiple hiking trails and some fixed infrastructure, in many other states it connotes a patch of maintained grass with a sign and some picnic tables.
