Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Control Resonant was excellent. Early game feels a bit slow and I wondered how it would manage to live up to the first game, but given time it really starts to go some cool and wild places. Combat could use a tad more and first game wins out in vibe but still a great sequel. 000
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 25/09/2026This is my Fire Emblem wife and it's criminal that he only has one support convo 010
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Playing the new Fire Emblem and hot damn do they let you slut these men out if you put em in the caster gear 👀 Dietrich already turning heads in his full armor, he'd end lives walking around like this. 000
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Finished the new Onimusha last night and that was a top tier action game. Fuckin' phenomenal. Incredible combat mechanics that all combine to make fights flow and feel oh so satisfying. Story and characters were also so much stronger than I expected. As an OG Onimusha fan I approve of this revival. 000

Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 16/08/2026Recently finished replaying Shadow Hearts 2 and man, I really hope Penny Blood is able to get its publishing situation sorted cuz damn I need a spiritual follow up to those games. SH1 is still my fav but Koudelka and 2 are great. 020
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 01/06/2026Finished up Mina the Hollower. Real good, cool mix of game types. Cool weapons, some neat subweapons and ideas. Difficulty is a bit inconsistent, exploring areas is often the most dangerous part of the game; beat most bosses first try, including final. Good time overall though. 010

Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 01/03/2026Finished RE9. Great time. First 1/2-2/3 is def the strongest and feels like an evolution for RE, building on what 7 laid out but with more of a classic RE skin. Last third is solid and has some cool moments, and feels like an epilogue and goodbye to old RE, but feels a little bloated at the start. 000
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 27/02/2026While it sucks that a studio that helped keep so many older games playable, like the OG MGS remasters, is gone, I am *so* tired of seeing people bitch about how Bluepoint should have remade Bloodborne. It does not need the shiny but less interesting coat of paint that DeS got. 010

Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 16/12/2025Honestly surprised these are what made it to the top but as the numbers show it was pretty close, put a lot of time into a lot of things this year 010
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 07/10/2025Wrapped up Ghost of Yotei. Fantastic game, honestly vibed with it more than Tsushima. Fun and tense, gorgeous music and visuals, great classic revenge western sort of vibe. Just couldn't put it down. 010
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 27/09/2025Hit credits on Hades 2. Still plenty to do I'm sure but damn what a game. Supergiant has been one of my fav devs since even before Hades 1, but both of them have been early access at their best. Played through each at every stage and it made them feel like the epics they are. 000
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 09/09/2025Finished Silksong off fully last night, 94% completion. Damn, what a game. Kicked my ass more than a couple times, but damn if it ain't satisfying. Gorgeous art and music, snappy combat, lots of tools and ways to play and content. Loved it. 020
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 01/05/2025Been getting back into drawing thanks to encouragement from a lovely friend and needing something to help pass the time while stuck at work and am finally getting in the swing enough to share so here's some Touchstarved men for you 042
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 01/05/2025Just finished Clair Obscur. What a goddamn fantastic, satisfying, beautiful, heartbreaking game. Just the whole way through. Fucking excellent. 020

Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 13/02/2025The fact that we're finally getting a Returnal spiritual successor is hype as hell. I absolutely adored that game. This one starring Rahul Kohli only makes me more excited. 000
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 30/01/2025Haven't posted much but still keeping up with the working out. Going pretty well I think. 010
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 24/12/2024This past Thursday I lost my great uncle, who was like a second dad to me, so I had to drive back down home and do funeral and stuff just before Christmas, but that's all out of the way now and I did some new writing while away so we push ever onward. 000
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 13/12/2024I've finally gone back and fully caught up on Kingdom Hearts after so many years. I *adored* the first as a kid and was real into the second but fell off hard after those, but it was a real treat to fully explore the whole series as an adult, and honestly more fun than I expected. 000
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 26/11/2024Forgot to share my workout progress update over here, pretty happy with how it's coming along 130
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 22/11/2024With the game award talks coming around now and plenty of great, big name games getting their time to shine, from Metaphor to FF7R to Silent Hill 2 to Infinite Wealth, thought I'd put together a thread of smaller titles I loved this year since those are experiences I always hold close to my heart. 110
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 22/11/2024It's getting about time to shave. Anyway have a pic since I don't take them often. 010
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 18/11/2024I adore Elden Ring and enjoyed the DLC greatly but having it take a spot for Game of the Year over actual full game releases, and in such a strong year, feels like such a waste. It deserves to be honored, but it's not its own game. 000
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 15/11/2024Dragon Quest 3 remake has been such a nice little pick-me-up after the depression of the state of the world and the usual post game sadness of having beaten Veilguard. I adored this game as a kid and revisiting it now in what seems like its definitive version has been a treat. 000
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 02/11/2024Got to a part in Veilguard where some ridiculously big lore bombs were getting dropped and still managed to sit on the choice selection staring fondly at my Rook, who is now one of my fav character creations. 000
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 02/11/2024Forgot to share over here but here's my DA Veilguard Shadow Dragon spellblade Rook, Feran! Enjoying the game so far, combat is good fun and I dig the cast. 000
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 22/10/2024STOP!! if you see this, you must post 4 of your favourite characters from 4 different series! Pass it on! 000
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 19/10/2024Watched the first few eps of Dandadan finally and that show is a fuckin' trip. Banger opening. 000
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 19/10/2024Also still trying to keep working out and pretty pleased with my chest progress 000
Josh @fenriff.bsky.social · 19/10/2024I have taken time from my very busy schedule of drowning in Metaphor ReFantazio (and sharing hear me outs with @naoirse.bsky.social ) to finally get this bluesky stuff set up so let's see how this goes. Time to get this feed filled with video games and gay fanart. 000
