this happens in my office too. Carriers are infomed to separate any outgoing ballots received on their routes. Hand them over to the management to be driven to county election headquarters several days before election day. I mailed my ballot on a monday...

Thank You ! I have been trying to tell people this for a month. Proabably originated on X. I don't care how people vote but don't deter others when the most convenient (and only)way for a lot of people is just to hand it back to your mail carrier.

I applaud any way people want to vote. And understand people's fears. The p.m. general is sketchy as fuck and compromised. But, this is misinformation. And could deter folks from voting. There's no indication ballots will not be processed as usual and sent back to county headquarters

In my area, ballots are sent back to the main hub to sorting machines and then sent out to the board of elections. The day before or day of we separate them and someone hand delivers them to election board. Telling people they can't send their ballots back via USPS may deter voting.

Thank you for a sensible and nuanced take. I understand why people are leery of usps when they return their ballots and a drop box is a good. Some don't have access and I think it's irresponsible and to tell people not to send their ballots back via USPS.

They will be put in a separate and sent to the sorting hub (philly in my case). And sent back out to county election headquarters. Some people need to use USPS. If you feel better using a drop box, good. But stop with the alarmist rhetoric. It could deter people from voting.

Postal carriers are neutral about the mail we deliver. The ballots are sorted through a machine and come in automated. Why would anyone not deliver them? It's not that deep! Ballots just went out in my county and it's business as usual. Happy to deliver to both dems and republicans.

I work with some maga carriers and I don't think they'd jeopardize their job over a ballot. Most carriers are pretty neutral when it comes to what they are delivering.

Lamb was not well known outside of Pittsburgh and was pretty milquetoast moderate. Kenyatta was not well known outside philly was very young. He was the best candidate to beat oz at the time. People need to stop rewriting history. No one could have predicted this.

The fetterman campaign was a product of its time.. his story and persona became bigger than his policy stances (which at the time were umbrella progressive). He was a well known lieutenant governor with little controversy other than the jogger incident.

The sanctimony coming from people who don't know the intricacies of PA politics is frustrating. There was no way of knowing he would become this. Aside from the jogger incident, he was pretty clean. He presented as a progressive populist and was well known in the entire state.

Voters in PA shouldn't be that hard on themselves. We went with the choice we thought was best... He actually was a good candidate.. lifelong public servant and popular lieutenant governor and the one who could pull rural voters and did. He's not that person anymore.

He was a populist and that resonates in the more rural parts of PA. He said all the right things and presented himself as earnest and almost shy. Stop with the Monday morning quarterbacking. Jogger incident aside, he was the candidate who could win and won every county in PA.

We had 3 choices in the primary.. lamb, Kenyatta and fetterman. Outside of Pittsburgh, noone knee lamb and outside of philly, noone knee Kenyatta. Fetterman was a popular lieutenant governor and a lifelong public servant with an intriguing story and charming wife.
