Looks like Tropical Storm Rachel is going to be a naughty girl and really screw the west coast of Mexico.

The key for the map indicates it is Tropical Storm Rachel and the map was provided as of Thursday October 8, 2026 at 8 am PDT.

Overlaying the image is a crude outline of the projected weather pattern that is suggestively shaped like a human phallus. Out over the ocean, there is a circular region colored in purple, with color transitioning through maroon, red, and orange. The path extends upward and to the right and looks to be "girthy." The path has a yellow core fading to green at the edges. There is a small projection from the tip of the bath on the other side of Baja that appears somewhat liquidy.

The key at the bottom shows the 5-day chance of receiving sustained winds over 34 kt or 39 mph. It begins at 5 on the left in dark green, proceeds to 10, then increases incrementally to 100% on the far right, going from green to yellow to red to purple.

In short, the current location of the storm looks like a scrotum and the path looks like a penis. The protrusion at the tip is reminiscent of the extra bit in a condom used for semen collection.

Gotta love it when the tenants I expressly forbade from bringing any additional pets into the house I own and share with them do so anyway, and I have to listen to literal caterwauling from an imprisoned unneutered tom cat they decided to sneak in while I slept thinking I somehow wouldn't notice.

Oh, I've already taken care of it. I just hate that system updates add "new" features that re-enable a lot of it. Just because they've bet billions on it doesn't mean I'm obliged to use it.

Gotta be honest. I really despise how every time there's an update on my phone or PC, I have to go in and manually disable all the AI bullshit being forced down our throats. Microsoft, Samsung, and Google are so desperate for us to use AI so they can harvest our data for more profit. Fuck that.

One of the things that's most frustrating about having an "invisible" disability like ME/CFS is the judgment I get from others. I "look" fine, but you can't see I'm masking my pain and fatigue. You can't see the despair of being unable to do the simple things I used to. I "look" fine, but I'm not.

But... why do that? It's so visually distracting that it completely kills any enjoyment of the game. I've been noticing a lot of similar advertisement in other sports arenas as well (I don't watch, but I see clips sometimes) and it's like they were so desperate for ad revenue they forgot the game

Every day, we see further evidence of corporations brainstorming ways to extract money out of us, whether it be from feeding us ads in every moment of our downtime, selling our data for advertisement, eliminating the concept of "ownership" so everything is a recurring subscription cost.

As a non-smoker with asthma, I never expected one of my favorite anime of this past season to be about a couple of smokers hanging out behind a supermarket. Still can't stand smoking, but I love the hopeless idiots and their slow-burn slice-of-life age gap romance.

Okay. Honestly wasn't expecting the end of season 3 of Ascendance of a Bookworm to make me a sobbing mess. I guess separation from family is a rough trope for me. Sometimes the best thing for members of a family is to part ways. But that doesn't make the separation any easier.

the actual screen says I talk most like Washington, D.C. which is, quite frankly, mildly insulting. It also listed Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; and Phoenix, AZ with the same percentage as D.C. - 49% Interestingly, I'm still 45% with the darkest blue cities. So I'm pretty neutral?

As near as I can tell, my dialect is basically "city" and "not rural or Southern" based on this map.

I love how he basically defaults to two font styles for the branding of his enterprises. Impact (or similar block-letter all-caps font) for his last name and some form of script font everywhere else because "it looks fancy." Readability? screw that noise. All that matters is that you see his name.

My husband and I went out to the Valley of Fire State Park in NV to explore a few years back. I was captivated by the beauty of the natural landscape and rock formations, which felt otherworldly. I hope to visit again, but won't be able to do so until food and fuel are affordable. #IranWar

Every now and again, I think back to when I graduated high school. I was making $8.25 with no real experience ($16.54 in 2026 dollars) and my one-bedroom apartment ran me $425.00 ($851.83 in 2026 dollars.) Average wage today for someone with no experience? ~$9.50/hr. That apartment is still $900+

Many folks with ADHD have a delayed circadian rhythm somewhat brutally referred to as "delayed sleep phase disorder" that makes waking up "early" feel like torture. It's not a disorder. It's the natural cycle for many folks, especially AFAB and trans-femme, with ADHD.
