Felder Pony @felderpony.furry.horse · 25/08/2026Panic mode! Vet messages i got to stables. They changed mind n want a CT scan of Dougie’s fronts. Thursday. This Thursday 8:45 am. So had to contact a horse taxi n managed to secure transport. I can’t go down with Doug’s due to work but can be there to hand over n drop off home. Ct is cheaper too. 020 2
Felder Pony @felderpony.furry.horse · 23/08/2026We groomed the Dougie n tested his walk. Better than Tuesday but still not good. So now need to talk to vet n look at getting a date/transport for an mri on his fronts. 030 3
Felder Pony @felderpony.furry.horse · 16/08/2026Dougie was more sore in the right front than usual. He’d been walked yesterday n was fine. Still we did escorted ride out n he improved as we went on. Still not good tho. Will see what vet thinks Tuesday. 060 6

Felder Pony @felderpony.furry.horse · 09/08/2026So riding was ‘interesting’ as in instructor decided we’d go longer today. An Dougie was so want to follow the others out to the paddock. Instructor had to tell him off for not walking. Had me nervy but it all helps with my confidence. 050 5
Felder Pony @felderpony.furry.horse · 07/08/2026Slightly grumpy Dougie on his walk tonight. I think he really wanted to go down to see the boys in the turnout but I can’t. Want him sorted but I’m not sure he’s improving or not. Walk seems ok in parts. Let’s see how Sunday goes. 170 7

Felder Pony @felderpony.furry.horse · 04/08/2026Well Dougie still seems less than happy on his fronts. But he does seem better on hard/level surfaces. Also, I got escorted down the drive n back! It’s the longest outside I’ve ever been. I was nervy but Dougie was good! 070 7

Felder Pony @felderpony.furry.horse · 21/07/2026Dougie is now treated. He’s on box rest for two days then we’re to hand walk for 10mins then the week after more walks on straight lines n level/firm ground n perhaps under saddle? Then ease him into trot then 4th week she see’s him again. 080 8

Felder Pony @felderpony.furry.horse · 12/07/2026Got time at the stables. Dougie’s pulses were up today. Was told he wasn’t at his best yesterday when ridden. Used his ice wraps before I rode n took it slow. Turned out ok! 160 6
Felder Pony @felderpony.furry.horse · 07/07/2026A ‘learning experience’ with Dougie. He was napping toward instructor corner n I overreacted so he burrowed in more. Had to plan a head n not be so strong. In the end we both learned something! 030 3
