I have a new Nielan fic to share with you all! Nie Mingjue is sentenced by a judge to undergo anger management counseling, and Lan Xichen is his therapist. Work in Progress 🔞 Explicit 📋 Modern AU 📋 Anger Management 💘 Falling in Love 🔥 Slow Burn/Eventual Smut Appointments (updates) every Thursday.

Screenshot of the AO3 fic "Work in Progress" by Green_Riot

Summary:

"It's fine if you don't want to talk, but if it makes you feel any better, I wasn't informed of the reason for you being here. I'm not here to cast judgment or throw stones; they simply told me that you are here for anger management counseling, as ordered by the court, and…I would like to help."

Rolling his eyes, Nie Mingjue keeps his mouth shut. His eyes land on a basket full of toys made for annoying children who can't sit still for two seconds. It rests on a table between the light blue armchair Nie Mingjue sits in and the white armchair that he purposely avoided due to its closer proximity to Dr. Lan.

A minute or two passes in silence. Then, the psychiatrist tries again: "For transparency's sake, you should know that I am a mandated reporter. That means that I'm required to report to the authorities if you express anything that indicates you might pose a risk to the safety of yourself or others. Aside from that, anything that is said in our sessions will be kept strictly confidential."

Nie Mingjue is sentenced to court-mandated anger management counseling, and Lan Xichen is his therapist.
