จริงๆ นักเขียนนักวาดไทยหลายคนเลยที่ทำงาน self pub ยอมหั่นค่าแรงตัวเองหรือไม่ได้คิดค่าลิขสิทธิ์ในงานตัวเองจากต้นทุน เพื่อให้ราคาหนังสืออยู่ในเรทที่คนอ่านซื้อไหว ซึ่งมันไม่ควรเป็นงั้นไง พอตัดค่าแรงออก ก็ไม่สะท้อนต้นทุนที่แท้จริงของงานทั้งหมด ซึ่งสายผลิตรายเล็กจิ๋วเหล่านี้ไม่ควรแบกจนหลังหักขนาดนั้น ทั้งที่ปัจจัยหนังสือแพงที่มาจากต้นทุนภายนอกที่รัฐควรจัดการได้ด้วยซ้ำ เช่น ค่าแรง ภาษีกระดาษ
