On the top Bart Simpson looks nervous next to a headline from CBC News which says "This could be Canada's 2nd-worst wildfire season" and then on the bottom there's Homer Simpson consoling Bart and the unspoken implication is that this could all get so much worse... which is rather fucked up.

Zach Cherry is awesome in Severance, so I think it's important that people know I wrote a screwball-noir starring him and Maria Bakalova where they get involved with crime stuff and you won't be able to see it for a while – but the producers aren't on BlueSky so no one can stop me from showing this:

You know who DOESN'T have to hire "cultural consultants" to write a Canadian series? Canadian writers.

And article about the Amazon Prime series "The Sticky" which reads as follows: Donovan and Herro are both American, a fact Herro acknowledges might raise doubts about their ability to craft a story that feels authentically Canadian.
“We're not Canadian, so that comes with a whole bunch of carpetbagging concerns and everything. I get it,” he says.
Donovan says the duo made sure to hire an all-Canadian crew and mostly Canadian cast, with the exception of Martindale and Curtis. They also recruited a cultural consultant to make sure the show passed “the authenticity test.”
“We went in knowing that we were not the experts and we should talk to the experts on the ground. We wanted it to be an authentic story that people from Canada and specifically Quebec would gravitate toward and recognize themselves in.”

Day Twelve on “All Night Wrong” Call time: 5:30 PM. We are shooting in a house so small that the backyard is in the front yard. There is no room for a writer so I stood in the cold for two hours before wandering off into the night like a wraith.
