I care for sick, elderly parents and it would really tear me open to see anyone like that having to deal with something in a story. The vulnerability would make for effective horror while also being empowering to have a protagonist in a situation like that to power through it.

I'm not saying that having an elderly antagonist is necessarily bad; it's just that I feel it's not often you have elderly protagonists or hell, even middle-aged ones. The vulnerability and the experience would be great to see in more horror, instead of just the usual promiscuity before every kill.

Just read through it just now and yeah... it really isn't great. Really clumsy in it's message But it got me thinking. I would love to see more horror where the targets aren't just "folks in their prime getting picked off by a slasher at a camp" but rather people who's aged into a life not for them

I feel the exact same way about his work. I've still yet to finish a single season of AHS because the execution is always so stylized but hollow. Filmed like music videos and cramming so much stuff into the stories that they just become too messy for me. Fun & interesting concepts but... bleh...
