Yeah likewise, all of my windows swing outward and "up". I'd have to hang any unit under the window.

Oh I absolutely understand and agree with your point that AC isn't some evil thing. It was more to possibly explain why heat pumps that can only heat are subsidized. There aren't really any window mounted AC's on the market here. Wish there were though, it might become more common now.

One thing to note is that a lot of buildings, at least in sweden, use water based radiators and they do not have any ventilation shafts. The heatpumps we install will be connected to that water circulation and thus cannot be used to cool even if the tech is the same.

Just wish NASA would have live video feed during re-entry like SpaceX does during their Starship tests.

That's true. Speedrunners wanna do it fast but a slowrunner would do it to soak it all in I guess.

100% and All Achievements are both common speedrun categories. There is an All Achievements for the Souls games.

I usually used Obsidian. But I use that for notes at work, so it was pretty natural.

2025 was indeed a good year for silly coop games.

I think currently the only one I know you can't properly style is <progress>, but it's not used enough to be too big of a problem. I also believe there's no good way to make combo-boxes. I hope that comes soon, as those are pretty common.

Agreed. I've been working hard to push for getting it into the early design stage to check accessibility and UX at my workplace. I have met with resistance but it's getting better. Luckily, I can also lean on the European accessibility act, at least for new projects, to outright refuse some designs.

It was probably correct before, that the native HTML elements couldn't be styled properly. But it has gotten a lot better. At work, in the places I can control it, we've yet to run into any issues styling native elements as specified by the design.

I've also heard excuses like "it's just for admins" and/or "we don't have the time/budget". Your users, even if they are admins, deserve good and accessible tools. And most of the time, in my experience, it's less work to make it accessible than not.

Something I've noticed, at least at my own workplace, is that people doesn't realize how easy it is today to adhere to WCAG. In almost every case, you can just let the browser handle it for you. It even removes code complexity and makes it easier to maintain.

Same goes for WCAG in my book. There's never a good excuse to not adhere to accessibility guidelines. If what you're trying to do is not technically possible to do accessible, you should probably reconsider what you're trying to do.

@insomniac.games Hi! Are you aware that there's emails being sent out through Zendesk from your support address to people who hasn't opened any support tickets? It seems they have been breached. I got two emails sent from you via them, and I have not opened any tickets with your support.

I'm currently on the 9th day. The book started a little slow but picked up fast. It's getting really intense and you get revelation after revelation, and a lot of puzzle pieces are starting to fit together in a satisfying way.

You can hide malware in a lot of files. A workaround for only scanning executables would be to hide the malicious payload in a texture/model and execute it when loading it. Since they only scan executables or scripts, it won't be caught by that scan.

Friction is absolutely needed for a game, if you have nothing to lose or nothing to overcome you're barely playing. But it's a fine line between enjoyable friction and annoying friction. The position of said line is mostly subjective though.

I noticed that I took a lot of damage if set myself on fire with the flamethrower but it barely hurt you guys so I can't imagine what it would be like playing with friendly fire turned up...

Ah, fair enough. I'm thinking we have a lot more answers to how things work now days than we had before, which would increase the amount of knowledge needed to fully understand something. For example, it was (probably) easier to be a doctor before than now. Less learning needed to practice it.

I doubt it's a new issue in society. There's always been hacks and quacks exploiting peoples ignorance or simple lack of understanding/knowledge.
