My Trade Secrets today. Synthetic nitrates killed Chile’s guano trade, plastic sacks the Bangladeshi jute sector, artificial dyes plant-derived indigo. Now lab-grown chocolate cd liberate food companies from reputational risks of deforestation & child labour. Bad for African cocoa-growers though.
