The only reason it's not the funniest thing I read yesterday is I talked myself into reading a library copy of the Mr Beast book (mostly boring!) but it ends like this.
"let me put it to you another way," he says. "You may be The One (italicized)."

There is one last dramatic pause from him.

"Just not the only one." He says.

THE END
(OR IS IT?)

You know I did end up saying "we're doing what" at least twice reading this
The U.S. Treasury receives the revenue from most of Venezuela’s exports, then disburses it gradually to Venezuela through the country’s private banks, a relationship akin to parents handing out allowances to children. Mr. Rubio and his team set the conditions on what that money can be spent on, and by whom.

It includes this incredible endorsement.
“He’s an impressive person, kind of a [former Sen. Joe] Manchin, [Sen. John] Fetterman type, in that kind of category,” Monahan said, referring to Democrats from West Virginia and Pennsylvania who tacked to the center and frequently butted heads with the party’s base. “The numbers I keep seeing out of it, I mean, this isn’t just his polls. The guy’s kicking ass.”

Would you believe that comes up in the article? And they DO NOT answer the question. Though the actual answer is that she runs a coaching service and is launching a bespoke romance writing AI program which is her actual business.
A.I. remains contentious in the romance community. A vocal contingent of readers oppose its use and are quick to call out suspected transgressions. Furor erupted on social media last year when two romance authors published works with A.I. prompts accidentally left in. “You’re an opportunist hack using a theft machine,” the fantasy writer Rebecca Crunden wrote in an expletive-laced message on Bluesky.

Many readers seem to share her distaste, she said in an interview: “The comment I keep seeing is, ‘Why should we pay for something that you couldn’t be bothered to make?’”

But without such obvious slip-ups, it can be hard to spot A.I.-generated romance. Amazon asks authors who use its Kindle self-publishing platform to disclose if they relied on A.I., but does not require writers to include any public disclaimers on their books.Ms. Hart has become an A.I. evangelist. Through her author-coaching business, Plot Prose, she’s taught more than 1,600 people how to produce a novel with artificial intelligence, she said. She’s rolling out her proprietary A.I. writing program, which can generate a book based on an outline in less than an hour, and costs between $80 and $250 a month.

I mean honestly I don't even think the books are her actual business. I think this is her business the books are just advertising.

I agree with that part of the poll but the takeaways in the Reuters article concern me.
WASHINGTON, June 19 (Reuters) - Democrats want new leaders for their party, which many feel isn't focusing enough on economic issues and is over-emphasizing issues like transgender rights and electric vehicles, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found.

Book two of the year! I do like Wendig's work, I mostly prefer my horror a little bleaker, but on the other hand I had a run of other books where things were cruising for a bleak as fuck ending and then things turned out mostly alright. So I really appreciate him having a consistent tone.

It really is.
What the selection does, however, is forfeit her best opportunity to send a message that she is a moderate. She needs to take every possible opportunity between now and November to make up for that. Harris needs to adopt positions that will upset progressive activists. She needs to specifically understand that the likelihood a given action or statement will create complaints on the left is a reason to do something, rather than a reason not to.

I mean basically.
But … does she? Her decision to pick Tim Walz, while not completely irrational, makes me much more cautious and less optimistic that Harris does understand the assignment.

The assignment, to be clear, is to win over voters who don’t like Donald Trump but worry Harris is too liberal.

Regrettably it's related.
In the books, the future of civilization rests on the search and eventual destruction of The One Ring. While Frodo and Gollum jostle over the singular ring, true fans know there are a total of 20 rings of power. Vance is apparently among those ranks, as the venture capital firm he founded in 2019 is named Narya, named after one of those other rings that Gandalf wears. Vance’s mentor Peter Thiel similarly named his company Palantir after the crystal ball used by Saruman in Lord of the Rings, and Vance has invested in the defense startup Anduril, named after Aragorn’s sword.
“By the time of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Narya has been entrusted to Gandalf to resist the corrupting influence of evil, preserve the world from decay, and give strength to its wielder,” said Tolkien-head John Shelton, who when not engaging in fantasy literature is policy director for Advancing American Freedom, founded by former Vice President Mike Pence. “Gandalf, unlike the other great powers in Lord of the

I mean it does feel like the headline is more than a little misleading?
The draft guidelines would have lowered the age minimums to 14 for hormonal treatments, 15 for mastectomies, 16 for breast augmentation or facial surgeries, and 17 for genital surgeries or hysterectomies. The final guidelines, released in 2022, removed the age-based recommendations altogether.

“Adm. Levine shared her view with her staff that publishing the proposed lower ages for gender transition surgeries was not supported by science or research, and could lead to an onslaught of attacks on the transgender community,” an H.H.S. spokesman said in a statement on Friday evening.

You just got shingles!!! Why is the vaccine involved?
Renee France, 49, a physical therapist in Seattle, developed Bell’s palsy — a form of facial paralysis, usually temporary — and a dramatic rash that neatly bisected her face. Bell’s palsy is a known side effect of other vaccines, and it has been linked to Covid vaccination in some studies.
But Ms. France said doctors were dismissive of any connection to the Covid vaccines. The rash, a bout of shingles, debilitated her for three weeks, so Ms. France reported it to federal databases twice.

Imagine being on a panel for this dogshit movie and learning that your career is just going to be four more of them.
“[J.K Rowling] just mentioned it spontaneously, at a press screening once,” he said. “We were presenting some clips of FB1. We’d all signed up for FB1, very enthusiastically. And Jo, bless her, came on and said, ‘Oh, by the way, there’s five of them.’ We all looked at each other—because no one had told us there were going to be five. We’d committed to this one. So that was the first we’d heard of it.”

I think the artist has a real good grasp of paneling too. I don't know if it's the most inventive work but I think the choice of what to get in the panel. Like this is just a simple shot reverse shot but giving her that smaller diagonal panel makes her feel really overwhelmed in a fun way.
