What can philosophy contribute to how Ireland should approach the EU Presidency? I suggest it sheds light on a key for the future of cooperation in the EU: curiosity. But not just any kind of curiosity will do. Member states need the kind we find between lovers. Check out the video to see why!

A real honour and privilege to have organised and chaired the 2026 Donnellan Lectures. As I said introducing her, Ruth's work combines the highest commitment to argumentative rigour with an unwavering desire to pursue questions that matter to us all deeply. We were very lucky to have her here!

Gen. AI has created, or worsened, serious problems for higher education. But the conditions that enabled such damage have almost nothing to do with AI. They are what went wrong when anyone thought that you go to university ‘just to get a piece of paper.’ Any serious solution must recognise that.
