#SumLuv Day 27 The action/adventure in "Of Steel and Sealskin" is like a blade: direct, sharp, and intense ⚔️ And the romance takes this shape:

#SumLuv Day 26! This is the first one that came to mind! POV: Ronan is about to confess his deepest, darkest secret...

#SumLuv Day 23! Annora and Ronan's dynamic is like a cross between Claire and Leon from RE2, and Anakin and Padmé from SW 🤔😌

#SumLuv Day 20! Snippet from chapter 27! Rated PG: implied sensuality, nothing explicit... (Later, in the same scene, it's very much rated R) Annora and Ronan's wedding night begins innocently enough...✨💖💒

#SumLuv Day 2! The romantic leads in OSaS are: 🦭Annora Edvards, a captive selkie✨ ⚔️Ronan of Agerton, a war hero turned bounty hunter with magical abilities of his own. The plot hinges on their marriage of convenience but plenty of drama unfolds before and after they say 'I do.'

Annora edvards is the most celebrated courtesan in the city of eleoria — and she’s harboring a dark secret: she’s a selkie trapped in her human form. Her captor, lord percival edvards, has kept her sealskin hidden for eight long years, forcing her into a life of servitude.
Now he seeks to marry her off before she outlives her worth, hosting a unique spectacle for the occasion and seeking the highest price from a promising list of suitors.
Ronan of Agerton is a famed war hero from the northern half of the kingdom — and he has plenty of secrets of his own. Secrets involving his origins, his innate ability to bond with animals and tame beasts, and his intentions in vying for Annora’s hand in marriage.
There’s no denying the attraction between them;a powerful feeling that’s steeped in forbidden magic.
But can their bond survive fate? Will ronan prove to be the liberator Annora has longed for?
Will Annora reclaim her sealskin — and her freedom?

#SundaySnips Chapter 4, OF STEEL AND SEALSKIN: Annora meets with a former lover (a sailor) to say her goodbyes before she is to be auctioned/married off. Despite their heartfelt farewell, she finds herself thinking of the mysterious swordsman she'd met that fateful evening... #writesky #romantasy

At last, Tristan severs the kiss, but only to speak. “It breaks my heart to know you’ll belong to another man soon,” he croaks, smothering me like he’s afraid I’ll fly away into oblivion. “It kills me that I won’t be there to vie for your hand. If only we could run away… stow away on one of the ships and sail off to a foreign land where we can start anew… If only I could save you.”
Then why don’t you? What is stopping you from doing so?
My hands squeeze him tighter, but I find myself yearning for the soft pelt of Ronan’s coat instead, imagining the swordsman’s arms encircling my waist now, vowing to protect me—his bride—with his life.
Enough! my inner selkie chides. Enough of the swordsman. You are here with the sailor now.
My reverie shatters like glass and I’m present with Tristan once again. “Please, don’t fret,” I say, as if making amends. “I’ll be fine.” It’s a promise I hope to keep. “I’m sorry to have caused you stress.”
