Agates from Mexico @agatesfrommexico.bsky.social · 21h

Agates form when silica-rich fluid fills volcanic cavities over millions of years — banding reveals each slow deposit. New collector? Start with one region, one pattern. Link in bio for our beginner's guide. 🪨

Tight pink and rose banding radiates outward from a deep red-orange core. A healed horizontal fracture cuts through mid-stone — adds character, doesn't detract. Raw husk intact on all edges. Clean lap work. 🪨

Botryoidal agate forms when silica-rich fluid deposits in rounded, grape-like masses. The outer texture reveals how it grew layer by layer against the host rock. Agate replaced the surrounding matrix, preserving this organic-looking surface. 🪨

A quick snap of a small yellow fluorite given to me by a dealer; it’s not in very good condition, but it has a lovely violet radiation colouration on the terminal faces of the cubes. #mineral #crystal #macrophotography #focusstacking

📯 Lotus at Morning Light Morning had barely decided to show up, and already the lotus was ahead of it, unbothered, unhurried, and entirely unimpressed by the occasion. #AIイラスト #AiArt #SynthArt #Midjourney6.0

Several pink and red lotus flowers rise on slender stems above broad green lily pads on a calm pond. A warm golden mist fills the sky, and soft glowing particles drift above still water reflecting the blooms below.

A watercolor-style painting of a lotus pond at dawn. White and pale pink lotus flowers bloom among large green lily pads. Soft ripples spread across still golden-green water. The atmosphere is hazy and serene, lit by gentle diffused morning light.

A white lotus flower with pale pink-edged petals and a golden center blooms on a misty, grey-blue pond surrounded by large green lily pads carrying water droplets, with soft ripples radiating outward and fog dissolving the distant horizon.

A misty pond with broad green lily pads floating on still, reflective water showing gentle concentric ripples. A fully open pink lotus flower with yellow center rises on the right, glowing softly in diffuse morning light.

Amber and brown wavy banding wraps a large milky-white quartz core, with a cluster of caramel orbs floating near the top. Fortification layers are tight and well-defined. Clean cut, good polish. 🪨

Galena cubes formed first, then silica-rich fluids replaced them — leaving agate in perfect cubic form. A textbook pseudomorph: agate replaced the original galena structure. Rare geometry you don't see often. 🔲

Yellow-orange rind wraps tight lavender and white concentric banding around a large chalcedony center. Clean parallel layers, good symmetry on the cut. Solid entry-level Laguna half. 🪨
