Actually just had an idea for a scene where Reno starts telling her about all the war crimes Zack committed (unknowingly or not) in Wutai (his weird way of trying to get her to stop mourning him) and that's the entire reason she's salty at him in Remake.

I actually started a Rena/Aerith fic related to the original thought, maybe I should go back and work on it some more ... (It was an episodic fic that involved them first meeting /before/ Aerith escaped from the tower and showed all their encounters after.)

Recently started 'Men Who Hate Women' by Laura Bates, I have 'Invisible Women' by Caroline Perez in my queue. Also a deep cut but I don't think many ppl have read 'the Child Catchers' by Kathyrn Joyce, it's about corruption and exploitation in the adoption industry, although it's out of date.

One of the most frustrating things in Remake, for me, was how quickly Tifa forgave Cloud for trying to kill her. But that is who she is as a character. She believes in the best in people. That is the OPPOSITE of dependance.

but they WON'T. They will try to do it themselves until I'm available to do it. They will NOT ask anyone else (including my brother). My father waited months for a tax rebate until I could help him do the ID verification online. And I DID, but I also could have told him how to do it in person--

It's too bad really, because the Bucky/Sam dynamic (I don't ship them, just as friends) was super fun. Maybe I'm just expecting to much from it, but I didn't feel that way about, say, Winter Soldier.

It didn't make me hate it, but I very much wondered who their target audience for it was? I feel like that with a lot of the newer Marvel stuff--they don't want to leave any room for the viewer to be part of the story. They don't want you to draw anything out of it, they want to FEED it to you.

My main issue with TFATWS was that, while the messaging was good and the performances were fine, by the end of the last episode I felt like the show had little to no faith in my ability to understand a lot of the issues it presented on my own. It felt condescending in places, beating me up with it

Fwiw, I found the adhdwomen subreddit really helpful--adhd manifests and is experienced vastly differently by women, as opposed to men/boys where it's more typically diagnosed. Add in the normal hormonal stuff women have to experience and it becomes very nuanced.
