Great time with Carlos Vílchez and María Robles Garrido for hosting my PhD student Zacarías Fresno López and myself at the Microalgae Biotechnology unit Universidad de Huelva. It was a great visit, we had the chance to see how they grow microalgae and visit the river Tinto area.

I am pleased to announce our latest paper on #nutrient availability and impact on the microbial ecology of acidic pit lakes. It takes us a step closer to understand nutrient cycling in these #extreme #environments for the development of in situ bioremediation. doi.org/10.3390/min1...
