Today is the first day since 2018 that medication abortion is locally available in Missouri after a judge permanently struck down a majority of the state’s abortion restrictions. This win is possible thanks to voters protecting reproductive freedom in the state’s constitution.

On Juneteenth, we remember that freedom was delayed because information was kept from people. That still matters. Baltimore needs reporters who show up, ask hard questions, and keep local truth in public view. Make a gift today. support.baltimorebeat.com/page/FUNMSPK... #Juneteenth #Baltimore

A black cat with only the faintest shred of white showing lies upright in an open windowsill, behind which a large holly bush can be seen. The cat is staring directly at the camera because she cannot cooperate.

There’s a saying passed down from earlier generations of Black Texans who were there for the first Juneteenth: “It was not a piece of paper that freed the slaves, but the men with the guns.”

after a few joke answers but wanting to declare something a winner as a person who has used most of them in some fashion, i think the only truly good social media sites have been: -the Electrical Audio forums -the Minibosses message board -usenet -local BBSes

The actual verbiage isn't important, it's a text message trying to encourage me to vote Republican in the promises to protect a Maryland county where i don't live from the horrors of Unions and boys in girl's bathrooms

"Baltimore" is a great song, even if Nina Simone did it better. "Guilty" is also a gut wrencher if you have lived a certain kind of life, and "Simon Smith and his Amazing Dancing Bear" was so good the Muppets did a version of it. Newman has hits, i will not deny them
