Ontario's new auto insurance coverage means many injured MVA survivors won't have the coverage needed to recover. There will be a lot of people downloaded onto public supports =when insurers don't pay, taxpayers do. Ford gov calls it 'more choice' 0 effort to anticipate health harm or cost$ #onpoli

This 🔻 is how insurers strip access to quality rehab by underpaying + making life difficult for people who help injured claimants. Ont insurers have elevated the suppression of claim costs to an art. Their preferred medical assessors? Hefty cancellation fees for appts claimants don't know about.

That IS the question. Why buy higher coverage if the product only works half the time for half of injured claimants? Ontario insurers are stripping coverage they only 'sometimes' pay on July 1. Legislated to buy a flawed insurance product in Ontario = captive consumers and zero value for many

ONT gov is using "Choice" to describe the July 1 auto insurance changes. What it means: a small percentage of Ontarians will preserve coverage by paying close attention. The rest will quietly lose what they had. That benefits insurers = costs consumers. It means chaos is coming #OntarioAutoInsurance

Concussion from a #CarCrash is no joke. With secondary cascading effects from microglia spreading their neuron-destroying messaging into uninjured areas, #BrainInjury can worsen over the succeeding year. And even if symptoms abate, risk of #dementia doesn’t. Why EVERYONE injured should be treated.

Congrats Shireen!!! Healing from a brain injury often focuses on strategies and rest, but what no one addresses is the other injuries -- the emotional trauma that accompanies the aftermath of living with a brain injury -- and the effect of not healing the neurons.

Ontario insurers often spend more $ assessing injuries (so they can deny the injury) than they do treating injuries. Turn down rate is very high, people end up at a tribunal where very few succeed in getting the help they need. It's what happens when we are legislated to buy an inferior product.
