It's the same in Verona (northeast Italy), the whole downtown is paved with countless ammonites, it's so cool! I just learnt looking up a picture it's called red ammonite marble (ammonitico rosso)

Therizinosaurus, for the sake of keeping up random drawings on my tablet instead of doomscrolling. I had no idea what colors to use, then I remembered my favourite illustration of them (the one in All Yesterdays) has them black. Very convenient since I was out of time anyway 😅
