almost died just now jumping out of the bed of our F150 bc the toe of my steel toed boot got caught genuinely do not know how I managed to twist myself so that I landed on my foot instead of breaking my wrist or cracking my skull on the concrete garage floor Jesus fucking Christ

yknow I did sort of think getting up in the morning would become a little bit easier with a job that requires me to be up at 7am every day but on the contrary I think it’s only gotten harder. I spend my first 1-3 hours nauseous and barely able to stay awake. I do not like this.

couldn’t make it into work this morning bc apparently I still can’t take 99% of muscle relaxants without fully fainting every time I so much as lift my head off the pillow. so that was a fun 5 or so hours of trying not to move so I wouldn’t lose consciousness. I am. exhausted. oh my god.

unfortunately I am feeling significantly worse mentally today for multiple reasons. feeling very much it would be better if I just took myself out finally. unfortunately I can’t do that rn so I’m just going to treat myself to Mexican instead. at least the weather is fairly cool finally.

OH MY GOD HE’S A *BABY* BABY, look at his bright stubby tail feathers and how round he is even while de-floofed 😭😭😭

A very fat juvenile ruby-throated hummingbird sitting on a feeder. His back feathers are a beautiful shimmery green and he has flecks of black around his throat (that will soon be replaced with scarlet). His feathers are lying smooth but he’s still rather spherical.
