It's been a hot minute since I did one of my World Walker chibi heads, but I finished Voduth! He's my least dwarf-featured dwarf of the crew. He got tired of singeing his hair when experimenting to make new explosives, so he keeps it short.

Today's snip from #BindingMoonlight showcases Theo using his "genetic skill abnormality" called Panacea Hand.

“Okay, I’m going to heal it now. Don’t freak out, but it feels really weird.” Theo gently pressed his hand against the wound. He closed his eyes and concentrated as his blue healing light spread across Adonis’ skin.
“That’s cold!” he yelped, trying to pull away from Theo.
“I know, but you need to stay still.” Theo held Adonis in place with his other hand while he worked. Keeping his eyes closed, he concentrated on the injury. He had never treated anything so severe, and it was taking its toll. The skin was knitting together slower than expected, but eventually, the wound closed. All that remained were bloodstains and a small scar that would fade over time.

Fixing her shirt and standing as tall as her five-foot-one-inch frame would allow, Max didn’t even attempt to hide her disappointment at being interrupted. “What do you need to know?”
“What have you completed?” Robyn asked, pointedly ignoring the guard dog vibes radiating from Ekie. The man was glaring daggers from behind Max.
Max twisted her mouth to one side in thought. “Well, we switched out all the old cameras inside and out, plus added a few to cover blind spots. I upgraded network security, firewalls, passwords, and the like. We also installed new keypads on every non-residential door in the building.”

I know these are meant to show off your current work, but I want to share some snips from my debut novel Binding Moonlight in hopes I can get some interest in it. So, I didn't have prime, and only one instance of 'primed' in the whole book, so that's what we're going with! #BindingMoonlight

Gabe was flat on his ass, blood streaming from his nostrils before Max could blink. Hand clasped over his face, failing to staunch the blood, he looked up at Ekie with wide green eyes.
“What the fuck?”
Ekie was primed to throw another punch, but Max put a gentle hand on his arm. He flicked a glance at her before turning and leaving the office. Max glared at Robyn and followed Ekie.
“What the fuck?” Gabe whispered, eyes still wide.
Robyn chuckled, handing over a handkerchief. “I suppose I forgot to warn you about his temper. Well, regarding his appearance. Be glad he only gave you a bloody nose.” Patting Gabe’s shoulder, he went and sat behind the desk.

So much this. Sometimes some of my personality quirks slip into my characters, but my writing is not a biography. And writing cannot be plain, vanilla, empty of conflict and "problematic" content and still be interesting (the vast majority of the time.)

please do not assume that just because my character is doing something that I as a writer approve of it, am romanticizing it, have a kink with regard to it, think it is okay for anyone to ever do ever, because sometimes my character does thing that I absolutely cringe at and which are almost painful to write. but my writing a villain does not make me a villain.

I don't talk about the animals that live on Hemstone much. But here is a description of something called a watercat. It is mentioned once in the main story, and this is from a short story that will be included in World Walkers.

Watercats weren’t large, only about the length of his arm when fully grown, but they were fast. They also had long, sharp fangs and claws. Their bodies were slim, almost serpentine, to help them traverse the water where they lived. Their toes had webbing between them, and their pointed ears doubled as fins when folded back to protect the inner workings. The beasts were covered in an oily, water resistant fur the colour of the poisonous green algae that clung to the rocks around their habitats.
