It's no surprise that a treasure hunter like Kaius, regardless of their experience, often bites off more than they can chew when it comes to hunts, adventures, and picking fights. In other words, they are prone to "losing instantly", so to speak.

As they are physically frail, and have low magical aptitude, meaning they cannot employ the use of worldly magic without risking damage to their internal organs unless they have physical assistance like tomes and staves, the strength of a nimble body is one of their most prevalent.

- 𝘛𝘏𝘌𝘠'𝘙𝘌... 𝘈 𝘛𝘞𝘐𝘕𝘒...? Kaius' skinny frame does have its benefits - for one, their lithe body is able to fit into many small spaces and tread lightly, which is extremely useful when they need to employ stealth.

Another major drawback to this ability is that Kaius, as an over-eager adventurer despite being analytical and researched going into their adventures, is not actually very good at calibrating or triangulating this ability.

This physical "cooldown" can be exacerbated further by Kaius transporting heavy objects/people, undergoing severe physical pain, or having their soul messed with by another person.

However, travelling without creating gates can oftentimes leave Kaius physically exhausted, and they are required to rest in order to recoup this ability. Due to the vastness of the multiverse, the physical tax caused by this ability has many variables.

- 𝘋𝘐𝘔𝘌𝘕𝘚𝘐𝘖𝘕𝘈𝘓 𝘛𝘙𝘈𝘝𝘌𝘓 Kaius can open gateways to other worlds with their claws and travel between them. They can travel between them normally with no need to use their claws, allowing them to traverse covertly.

A side effect of this ability is that it has preyed on Kaius' risk-taking nature and made them... somewhat of a masochist at times. Additionally, a mishap involving losing their tail in another dimension resulted in a cute little homunculus! Their name is Walter.

In other words, Kaius is capable of being killed, and has been a few times in the past, but they do not stay that way. They can die and "get better", so to speak. This 'resetting' body also means that Kaius can never compensate for their glaring physical frailty.
