Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 02/10/2026I think it’s a great litmus test. If you see a politician say it’s one of their faves you can safely ignore anything else they ever say. 020
Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 02/10/2026The front page could be a long list of bullet points with p.t.o. at the end. 000
Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 01/10/2026Trump heard about 'gilding the lily' and thought it sounded like a great idea. 000
Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 30/09/2026Its like Postman Pat but with less job security and benefits! I don't see the bottle you are meant to keep for emergencies though. 200
Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 30/09/2026If you are ever unsure about your position on something, it’s good to use the Daily Mail for moral bearings. 060
Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 30/09/2026I'll definitely get it, but that price will put it out of reach for many vulnerable people. I guess its also possible that some employers will offer it alongside the yearly flu jab? 041

Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 28/09/2026That’s great to have a goal! I wanted to be a scientist and my sister aimed to be a therapist I think. Somewhere along the way we just decided to follow career paths within the organisations we joined (public service for her, tertiary education for me) 000

Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 28/09/2026I wonder how many people end up doing things related to their fields of study? I did microbiology at Uni and my sis did sociology. We have both somehow ended up in business intelligence related careers. 200

Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 23/09/2026That’s right. His sale tactic is “Over Promise and Never Deliver” cos he’s a carnival barker for the stock price. 010
Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 22/09/2026Out of interest, were they not able to use a non-internet enabled computer with a printer? I basically had that for my university experience about a decade earlier. 120
Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 22/09/2026Huh. A promise of a new product by the end of next year. Long enough away for most people to forget it when it doesn't happen and close enough that people will think it must actually be in the pipeline. 110
Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 22/09/2026They will definitely bow down to any security agency that feels they should listen in to a conversation where someone is wearing an Apple Watch. 000
Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 22/09/2026I'm just assuming they will steal anything they can from online data repositories they have control of. I moved all my data to Proton Drive a while back as I have more faith they are unlikely to steal it. 000

Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 17/09/2026I think its ridiculous when people attack ROP for its diversity or tweaks to the source material. We have an amazing fantasy story with amazing production, along with beautiful sets and glorious looking fantasy beings. These shows are clearly a labour of love and I really appreciate their existence 171
Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 17/09/2026I think these things were a more siloed back then - you had to actively seek out these groups to see the hate. I mostly frequented the SFX Forum for my fan connections so I only really remember the love for it. These days the social media platforms like X would make you more aware of the negativity. 110
Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 15/09/2026I like the more recent gameplay innovation where you can assign any ridiculous combination of stat boosting gear to your character but visibly wear the coolest looking items so you look like a motorbike ninja or white knight or whatever whilst wearing a banana skin jacket and copper saucepan helmet 010
Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 15/09/2026I got bored reading it by the second day. Reminds me of the bachelor I worked with who had a single meal he prepared at the start of the week and had every night - rice with chopped up pepperami mixed in. There may have been a vegetable but it’s been 25 years so I only remember those two ingredients 110

Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 03/09/2026I barely used the crafting system in Elden Ring until near the end as I thought I could get anything I needed from merchants/loot. Then I discovered the crystal dart things were awesome against the stone cats and had to go learn how to make some. 170

Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 03/09/2026I hope its one of those pointless additions you can completely ignore. I utterly ignored cooking in Skyrim and I don't believe it had any affect on my enjoyment. 1160

Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 02/09/2026Hyperbole is not pronounced "Hyper-bowl" as I assumed when I was a child, like some sort of superfast version of bowling. Its "Hi-per-bow-le". 000
Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 01/09/2026That suggests it must have scanned and replicated the officers brain perfectly and left it running in the background whilst it did its own non-sentient microbe tasks. Kind of an interesting concept that a dumb organism could copy an intelligent being without itself gaining sentience. 020

Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 28/08/2026Seems to me that a very good way to ensure it is on the table and at the forefront of citizens minds is to insist it is off the table. This looks like a political own goal to me that was entirely unnecessary. 0130
Mark Armstrong @fabricatus.com · 27/08/2026I find it fascinating that on a crowded rush hour bus, I still have a seat free beside me, with people preferring to stand. I think it’s because I always wear a mask on the bus. 100
