By contrast, I was terrified of forgetting something when I had snakes. They were too easy, and don't make their needs as clear as a dog, cat or bird does. they also didnt give a shit whether I existed or not. which was kinda important to my needs.

personally, i needed animals that gave me rigid structure and keep me from perma checking out. That's why I have parrots. I can't "rationalize" myself into sayonara when even in my darkest moments, I know my birds would be traumatized. I can "logic" self-abuse, but not into harming them.

that said, a cat is a much more flexible option if you're finding a need filled, but are worried about commitments with a dog. And fundamentally, I dont advise getting any animal if you don't have a plan B should life change and they need to be rehomed.

I mean theyre not wrong, and if yall are able to actually care for him, he could give you guys some much needed structure. Dogs are also a great way to go out, get exercise, and socialize with neighbors. I found it easier to talk with a dog as easy ice breaker. She also helped my night anxiety.

AI is just an easy excuse for bad management decisions. Make slow downs and bone slicing look like savvy tech decisions by lying to shareholders about what LLMs can do. Keep number up until you can parachute out.

Ive told them the same thing. All the losses started YEARS ago. Pre-pandemic even. it was the train crash the guilds have been warning about for a while with the streaming boom going the way it was. Hell, some of us felt the hurt sooner than others. It's why I pivoted harder to client focused stuff.
